Nice pic.:) What the hell kind of CCCP deathtrap is that car? Looks like a Trabant or it's deadly equivilent.
I bet Trabbierally.com is still available.

Dana, it's actually Ukrainian car called "Zaporozhets", enjoy:

p.s. I am surprised you know Trabant, usually Americans don't know.

Yeah, there's not a lot of Trabbie discussion in the US. Only the best from East Germany!
I only know as my family watched enough BBC growing up, and the Trabbie seems to be the lark of Europe; a car that never should've succeeded, but due to German monopoly, continued on through lack of an alternative. I'm sure the day the Berlin Wall came down was the day the last Trabant was made.
On a side note, lots of Trabant vids on youtube.com(mostly destruction), and I assume on Google Video.
I can't pronounce the car you've shown(Hooked on Phonics didn't work for me) so it sucks that I'll never remember it, but I think I want one!
*searches Ebay Ukraine for the latest PGT rally ***** Zaporozhets*

Damn man can't find that site. There used to be a site like "sovietcar.com" or something where you could buy them in USA. Actually they were based in Maine. I'll show you when I find it.

I became familiar with Trabants in the 80s from this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trabant
A long-running parody in the U.S. automotive magazine Car and Driver (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Car_and_Driver) in the late 1980s (before the Berlin Wall opened) showed its competitor Motor Trend (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Motor_Trend) fawning over the Trabant and declaring it "Car of the Year (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Car_of_the_Year)."
There's also one all over the artwork of U2's Achtung Baby.
And while we're on the subject of Russian rallying:

Vladimir Chagin is my hero. He was on a tear in this year's Dakar - shame he crashed out.
And who doesn't love Lada?

Guess I'm not the only one to think of a Trabbie rally car:
