I assume this will be as successful as picking up chics at a gay bar... but I am contemplating a whirl wind sprint to Ohio for the 15th Annual Evo/DSM shootout. I am leaving Friday, 8/17 and returning either Late Sunday night or Monday. One of the biggest, if not the biggest Evo/Dsm meet in the US.

I'll cover 100% of gas. I'd only want to split lodging.

You'll be sitting in your lodging on the way out there...too bad the rear seats dont fold down.

Google Maps = 12hr drive. Reality is maybe a 10 or 11hr drive... that's nothing.

I assume Friday and Saturday night at a minimum at aproximately $150 a night = $150 per person for 2 nights, $225 for 3 nights (assuming only 2 people). More = cheaper.

I would go, but I have a Golf Tourney and an autocross that weekend. Which reminds me chris, you need to come to that instead of you EVO meet.

Ohio, what is out there for camping. Tenting it would be cheaper than a hotel and they usually allow a couple of tents per site. Just a cheaper alternative.

Yeah - I'd definitely camp if the option was there... I haven't looked too heavily into it yet.. probably going to be a last minute decision unless some one from here or one of my other friends buys in.

Terry - I might go if i don't go to Ohio.

Closest camping I saw was Findley State Park appr 22mi east (30 min driving) in Wellington, Oh.

How much does it cost to camp at Findley?
The winter rate for camping is $17.00 per night up to six people on the campsite. After April 1, 2007, the in-season rate goes up to $20.00 per night Sunday through Thursday and $21.00 on Friday or Saturday starting Memorial Weekend. Holiday weekends (Fri., Sat. & Sun.) the fee is $22.00 per night. Campsites with electricity will run $24.00 per night Sunday through Thursday, $25.00 for Friday or Saturday and $26.00 per night for holiday weekends (Fri., Sat. & Sun.).
