NewEnglandSubarus.com would like to help make our members feel more confident in purchasing items posted forsale on the site.
These rules help to protect our members from fraudulent transactions.(they however do not replace common sense)
Here are a few rules to help make your experience a little better :)
1. A price must always be posted. This is not ebay or craigslist.
You can post O.B.O but it must be in this form; $300 OBO. Trades can be posted with out a selling price.
2. Pictures are required. Threads without pictures will be removed. Do not start a thread saying they will be up later, just wait until you have pictures to post the thread. NO LINKS!!! The pictures must be of the actual item in it's current condition, no stock photos or google rip offs. (new items sold by vendors are exempt)
3. Fraud or theft will result in your permanent BAN and your personal information will be shared with proper law enforcement officers:) no one likes a thief.
4. Dibs are up to the seller. Don't get pissy if the seller doesn't allow dibs.
5. Forum staff and owners ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE for items sold on this forum by members or vendors.
6. Research the seller before buying. Check their iTrader and previous posts to ensure you are buying from a legit person. Be wary of escrows, money order or personal checks. Paypal, cash and cashiers checks are your best bets.
7. Post your thread in the proper forum! If you're not sure where an item goes, Private Message a Moderator!
8. iTrader. Using iTrader allows the buyer and seller to comment on each others experience after buying/selling process is complete. Misuse will not be tolerated. 9. NO TROLLING. If you have questions about the item, ask away, but please do not clutter up for sale ads with worthless comments. Troll posts will be deleted and points will be awarded if necessary.
10. Prefixes. When creating listings in The Market Place, use the provided prefixes via the dropdown menu.
