Weird question, didn't see it posted anywhere else. Why, when my sunroof is fully open and I'm closing it, does it stop a third of the way, forcing me to release the switch and press it again? Is this a problem with just my car? Is it some obscure, stupid feature Subaru designed at the factory? I can't for the life of me think of a practical reason why it would just stop closing in mid-process.

They alll do it. Not sure why. That might be a predermined spot that it can be open when you have a wind deflector for it to not suck in water.

same as mine did, that's one thing i hate about subaru sunroofs, all VW's you just turn the dial and watch it go, none of this holding the button crap

I wish i had a motorized sunroof that closed for me with the push of a button...but then again my mechanical flip up works fine with no trouble. except after or during the rain. It leaks and gets the driver wet when making a right turn, always scares me during the winter when its hot in the car then some water drips onto me thats freezing cold.
