A friend and I plan on hiking Mt. Lafayette next Sunday. It takes all day but the end result is well worth it.
I can fit 3 plus gear in my car. I will probably leave here around 8am and get back to the seacoast around 8pm (can't miss family guy).
What you will need:
Comfortable shoes.
A small back pack or Camel back (if you have one)
long sleeve shirt, short sleeve shirt and a jacket.
Change of socks.
Sun Screen
Snacks
It's not as challenging as you may think.... If you have never been hiking and want to see what it's all about this is a great mountain to start on.
I plan on hiking 30, 4000+ feet mountains in New England over the next 18 months to raise money for Spina Bifida and this happens to one of them. This trip is just practice.
