So after doing a **** ton more research I've narrowed my choices for headphones down to two options.
Option one:
Koss PortaPro Stereo Headphones (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=cart_accessories&A=details&Q=&sku=574785&is=REG)
Option two:
Grado SR60i Headphones (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/607704-REG/Grado_SR_60I_SR60i_Dynamic_Open_Air_Stereo.html)
Either way, I'm thinking of getting a Creative Labs USB X-Fi sound card (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=cart_accessories&A=details&Q=&sku=556216&is=REG) to go with the order. It would be used on both my laptop (that doesn't really need it, but it'd be nice) and my desktop that has what can only be described as "lolwutssoundquality?". I've read rave reviews about both the Koss and Grado headphones, and while I do believe the grados are going to be worth the $45 premium, I'm not sure if it'd be worth doing. The main use for these would be listening to music at home, off my laptop, and occasional gaming on both laptop and desktop.
