Are you going to balete the delay valve on the clutch slave?
98Wagoon
12-20-2011, 11:15 PM
I was curious about it and was planning to ask about it soon since I've seen it done but never bothered to ask what it was about.
But since you asked, maybe.. pros/cons?
Pros - More direct/firmer pedal, more consistent clutch engagement.
Cons - ?
I did Berge's and will be doing one again for myself soon.
98Wagoon
12-20-2011, 11:25 PM
Those are things I find acceptable.. how difficult of an operation is it?
Unbolt delay valve, make line from master-slave (two 10mm banjo fittings and one -3an line).
About $30 + shipping

Hm. Doesn't sound awful, I would guess there's walkthrough's out there? I'll have to look into it. Fortunately I have time :unamused:
There are bits and pieces of a walkthrough out there. Check my old journal, you can see how I modded the slave, then you just need part numbers to order stuff for the line.

Sounds good. I'll check into it. Thanks

It's still a lot of little things to install, many of which turbo related. He wouldn't have to invest that time in if he wasn't putting in a terbro. He's not missing much. What he IS screwing himself on it keeping it in a storage unit to the tune of $100/month that could be paying to finish it...

because so many people are against it Im almost 100% set on boost delete.
and wagoon delete.
Ive assessed the rust and what I have left to do to get this remotely running. Im still quite a ways away aside from lack of interest in a turbo build with everyone blowing theirs up lately, and other factors, Im much more interested in building an engine for the 03 and parting this out. if I revisit the turbo swap wagon idea in the future, I will start with a whole wrx/sti instead of slowly piecing together a million little things and finding that Im always missing half of what I need..

I'm talking about what we've seen at the shop. Mostly 08'+s or older stock motors that gave up the ghost from over years. The newer ones are mostly too rich and then damages the pistons.

I dunno.. Im going to have to fix a few small parts on it, thus the other coolant crossover pipe. it would be nice to get the car out, dust it off, and put the engine/drivetrain in sometime soon. I need to get the rest of the interior out and the dash also. basically, I need a place to work on it.. still.. have a few ideas, but for the moment Ive got stuff almost ready. I keep hoping I can bring it back to life for WBM but Im not sure. Ive got at least another $2000 in misc **** to pick up still like harness/radiator/ecu/front axles/hoses/coolant lines/ fuel sending unit etc. we shall see, though.. I was talking to Yint a while back about installing everything, Ive been a bit busy with the hospital and doctors lately so I havent talked to him in a bit, though..

I already need a new fuel sending unit because mines junk anyhow so running new lines while my interior is gutted probably wont be too difficult. maybe steel lines and AN fittings CUZ IM A PIMP ASS HO!
