So got sick of looking at a saggy front bumper so I ripped it off today..Found out why it was sagging..A plastic bracket was supposed to have a clip to snap the bumper on..so now i need to order a new plastic bracket. Also while doing that I noticed a little oil residue on the IC pipe so i checked the clamp and it was loose. Figured while i had the front end apart I would take the headlights and try for the 9304583 time to polish the headlights and hope that my chemical opps would go away..Yea No:(..Also cleaned the intake filter and maf...I NEED SOME HEADLIGHTS FOR THE LENSES HELP ME PLEASE!!! :spin:

UPDATE!! Sooo I may not need new lenses...YAY i bought a buffer attachment with some polishes for my drill..i re-sanded the headlight starting with 800 going to 2000 by hand then the drill...they came out 90% which is alot better than before. Those of you that saw them know what i mean. Monday the bumper brackets come in, so i can put the bumper and headlights back in. Then I go to get a quote to have the car resprayed to deal with all the rock chips and have my little dents taken out..Car will be like new!

Installing a crap ton of reflective insulation by DEI. Mainly focusing on the I/C pipes also bought some cryo cool insulated tubes for some rubber lines that run near the turbo. I have had one of my head breather lines dryout and crack and it wasnt more than a year old.. Pics up when I finish later

This is EFI's mustang dyno..stg 2 STi's usually make around 280-290hp and 300tq. My small injectors 650's are at just about maxed and I am only running a 50/50 mix of meth at only 35% IDC for my injector on my meth system..But I still put down the most power for an 18g in their dyno database.

Also For reference fp red evo's usually put down 360hp and 330tq, The Shop uses a 1.2 correction factor so add about 15% to my numbers and thats roughly about what I would do on that dyno. Im going down to The Shop with Chad(Demetry) the first week of june for his car so I will see what I put down.

Ordered the ATP3076 the other day..Should be in in a few weeks..with new injectors and once the turbo is installed I plan to break 400whp with meth on EFI's dyno..updates to come..Car is schedualed to get painted next week as well.

Ordering my new brakes ive decided on DBA 5000 D/S fronts and DBA 4000 D/S for rear with some Hawk HPS or maybe HP+..besides that I have to find two weeks so I can drop it off for paint. But, just dont want to waste anymore nice days before winter..Im deff doing BMW #400 Steel Grey..going to be sick

Question for you peeps out there..Does anyone have any waste gate springs for the Tial 38...I have a lot of fluctuation when I hit full boost and need to have a pair of spings that equal more than 1 bar..If any of you have heard my EWG you would know what I mean. I threw a MBC on set 1psi below my full boost and everything sounded fine but when my prodive EBCS is on it fluctuates ive been running the EBCS like this and just wanted to try a new spring combo to see if its affects my performance..THANKS

-Having a local shop powder coat my: IC pipes, Turbo Inlet, Intake Manifold, Intake all black

Stage II(December)

-Install ATP3076r
-Install DW850 Injectors

ive been pulling timing lately and havent been able to figure it out...plus my 02 sensor when bad so my car was messed up for a couple days with that issue plus i found some leaks that i fixed recently on my I/C couplers behind the bump that i had when it got tuned..blah...almost 5k on it too since last Oct..sad but what am I going to do? It is soo faint that no one else can hear it haha but I know what it is

ya this motor is built just how I'd dream of doing it. Best of luck figuring out the problem... Just re-doing what you did the first time or going with different parts/brands?

basically im just going to say screw it and replace the crank(they arent that expensive) new bearings, gasket kit and of course clean everything out and purchase a new oil pump and shim it too..basically the samething over but with exception of cams and maybe Cosworth intake manifold

basically im just going to say screw it and replace the crank(they arent that expensive) new bearings, gasket kit and of course clean everything out and purchase a new oil pump and shim it too..basically the samething over but with exception of cams and maybe Cosworth intake manifold

The pick up was sealed fine..it was the oil pan that at a small leak..but thats not what caused this..Ask anyone about this motor and they will agree this thing was USED! Just about the only time i take it out except for Kanc cruises or meets is to give friends a rip up and down a 1/4 straight street by my house..I cant tell you how many 1-5th gear pulls i did up it haha..The motor was basically raced ever time it was running

Motor was pulled today and will be sent to Ballistic Motorsports Tuesday. It will be getting new: Nitrided Crank, ACL Race Bearings, Cams, Springs/Retainers and a bunch of powder coating...updates to come :devil: Here are some pics of of right now.

It is just a refresh nothing big I would have done it if I had time and EFI is a haul for this project and on top of that they are way too busy to finish it within my time schedule. I am looking to have it back on the road buy March. I am just having the shortblock's bearings replaced and crank the Manley rods and CP pistons will remain the same except piston rings. The heads will be done by myself if I have time if not I will have Scott do them as well.

Thats what I was thinking about the powder coat...The rotated thing I will purchase a new 3076r and then source the rotated down pipe and up pipe. I will purchase all other misc. necessities new as well. i figure I can do this for close to the new price of a stock location ATP turbo. Basically I just want some more top end and I just cant do it with a stock location.

UPDATE:

So it turns out I have to run a new block. Luckily I had a spare and as far the pisons and rods those are at the machinist to be inspected. I pray that they are still good and I think they are but it is better to be safer then sorry. The block should be built once I get the O.K. for the pistons and rods then sent out to Swain Tech and back, I figure a few weeks. Anyways I have had a bunch of stuff blasted and now sits waiting to be powder coated, I have yet to drop of my IC pipes yet but those will be included....Not much longer before the sound of a cammed STi resonates in my garage again!!:devil:

Also I decided to have my TGVs fully gutted rather then just the flappers taken out and here they're in the process after being welded. They look brand new now that they had been washed and blasted as seen in the above picture.

UPDATE:
Just got the O.K. from R&L Engines on the pistons and rods. The block and rods will be finished early next week. The pistons will be at SwainTech coatings and I should have those shortly after. Now just waiting to hear back on the heads which again those will most likely be finished next week. I hope I dont have any surprises with the heads, they may need new valve guides since the valves seemed to have some play but not sure...The motor is getting there haha

So this is whats in for parts so far:

-Nitrided Crank

-Subaru Gasket kit
-Brian Crower Intake/Exhaust Valves

The pistons should be on the way to Swain Tech coatings for the skirt and crown coatings. This usually has a two week turn around so my heads may be finished before the block since R&L Engines needs the pistons with coating to correctly bore match each piston.

Again a big thanks to Scott at Ballistic Motorsports for being on top of his game with this build, getting things DONE daily, showing pictures of the process, giving recommendations and answering all my questions.

Just waiting on my 100mm piston rings to come in to assemble the shortblock and my Crower springs/retainers to finish the heads..Crower stuff was ordered on Saturday so they should be in the next few days along with the piston rings. Ive also decided against the 280 cams do to drivability so I will be running the Crower 272 cams that should be in when the springs/retainers are.

Well lift has changed but the duration was the big reason. It just becomes difficult to drive since you have to run such a high idle. The Crower 272 cams have more lift than the BC272,GSC272 cams so I am happy with that. The shorter duration will still have a sick sound while at the same time bumping up the top end.

I wanted to be slightly different so everything in the engine bay was coated wrinkle black that was possible...except my IC pipes those we paint a bright yellow called Safety yellow...I will have pics of the IC pipes up in a bit to see what you guys think now I just have to spread the yellow elsewhere on the car..I was thinking since I am going to paint the car with a dark metallic silver that I could get away with painting the Calipers the same yellow...Thoughts?

Thanks! Just a reminder for peeps out there that want to run cams be prepared for the cost of replacing all the buckets or shims in some cases!!! TheLastMaine had to run 13 of 16 new buckets....well the same goes for me I had to purchase 13 buckets...
