Heres a idea i got to help us enjoy summer more then ever and enjoy driving our cars even more!
Right now i am gonna be hitting up every major city in New England and take pics and write down my experience to help people who wanna check them out to get a idea what to expect.
I got burlington Vermont of course down
I just did manchester NH
i still got Boston MA (which i think will be next)
Springfield MA
Providence RI
New Haven CT
Hartford CT
Portland ME
Now here is where this is gonna become a group effort
i am only one person and can only cover so much in one day
So i want you to join in.
Going somewhere? Take some pics and share your experience! From big cities to small towns. Don't matter!
I'll keep a data base in the next thread of these posts and if a location is done already? thats fine cause you probably saw something the previous person didn't!
where i'll keep organized
Post the location
Say for a EXAMPLE
i'll keep it by state
So in this case
New Hampshire
now category it by town or city
1. Manchester
and then put down the people that posted pics of the town or city and a review and which page this is located on.
im_so_blue: page 1
RCKSTR: Page 2
squeethebee: Page 4
Massachusetts
2. Boston
Subyfreak: Page 5
ect ect ect
As i keep preaching
lifes too short to sit on your butt in the house specially in the summer time
get out there and go places and experience things!!! after all make great stories for later on in life

Alright manchester NH the first on my posts of travels
First off you that live there. What a beautiful city you guys and girls live in
population of roughly 130k according to statistics
I enjoyed walking around and biking around seeing the different sights and such
Kinda shocked at how small the down town area seemed to me considering the above statistic (still bigger then burlington VT but burlington also only has 40k) but yet still very beautiful city
The industrial area makes for such a awesome photo scene endless possiabilies specially with a river right there and such.

the location may look familiar to some as we held meets there
also before i continue i should make a note
You guy's parking meters are friggin cheap! 5 bucks for 10 hours. in burlington vermont 5 bucks gets you 5 hours lol.

Well i thought i'd spark this back up with hope of me not being the only one on this whole forum who actually goes out and travels for fun.
My next place i am gonna cover for you guys and gals is Salem Massachusetts
and i am gonna spice it up a little. Covering it from this past Halloween! oh yes... let the madness ensue
Alright salem mass
Population according to census statistics: 42,460
A beautiful town with more history in its pinky finger then what you will ever learn in all your high school and college history classes.
Salem is outside of boston so it has that bostonish feel to it and is located right along the coast with a massive harbor.
Salem was home to settlers from who came over on the mayflower and a stopping point for many sailors of history including many famous pirates. It was a main shipping area for people shipping goods internationally to america and from america known then as the new world.
The town also is known for its dark history as the home town of the story of the crucible which has many folk including many young ladies who were accused in the colonial times as witches as this was a problem in a Christian society and often associated with the works of the devil. They were hanged and one gentlemen was crushed to death from this problem.
and the town is noted to locals as the Witch City.
To many it also is known as Halloween City. as it throws the worlds largest festival dedicated to the holiday.
anyways let me show you why this is must stop when touring new england.

http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd158/car_show_fan/Project%20Road%20Trip/10hs21.jpg
this is a picture of "Ye Ole Burying Point" which is noted as the second oldest american cemetery with one person buried here came to america on the mayflower!
http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd158/car_show_fan/Project%20Road%20Trip/10hs22.jpg
Now going back to the crucible story. this was a documented real story with real people. No one that was accused and killed was given a proper burial due to residents scared of them not wanting to do anything with "devil worshipers".
Later on (i think in the 60s or 70s) the town of salem and its residents built this area by the cemetery in spirit of the people who lost their lives in this tragedy. With a bench sticking out with each persons name carved in the stone and how they were killed. Its very common to come across flowers and candles laying apon each stone.
http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd158/car_show_fan/Project%20Road%20Trip/10hs23.jpg
just to go with the previous photo.
Salem area has established vast community of Pagan followers who mourn the deceased who believed in what they believe in.

Beautiful town. Lots of history and beautiful sights and scenes. and so much action during halloween. Like halloween version of mardi gras.
If you ever find yourself down there for anything stop by there and check it out. You won't regret it!

Next Destination on project road trip is Boston MA
god what a beautiful city.
Its one of the oldest major cities in the united states of america predating the country itself back when it use to be colonies owned by europe. and was one of the largest cities in america up until the late late 1800s when immigrants started flooding to cities like New York City.
Now today as it sits it is beautiful and marvelous a show of true history as there is history around every corner in this city.
with over 600k people in it.. it still holds itself up as one of the most populated cities in america (but unlike the old days... it is now a far far far stretch from New York Cities sheer mammoth size!)
I always wanted to tour around in a major city full on with nothing holding me back.
I've walked around boston before when i was in grade school but for class so i was limited there
I've been around orlando but didn't really go out and tour it completely
I've been around NYC but it was cut kinda short due to a friends needs
i've been around Nashville TN but was only there really for a concert (Slipknot)
So this was my first time to really take a city in to its fullest extent.
and i most certainly did just that.
So sit back kick up your feet... Jam to some local music and welcome everyone to new englands finest. Boston Massachusetts
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SSR6ZzjDZ94
i parked in a underground parking garage and popped up into a building i can't remember what it was called but the interior and massive halls and elegant structure showed me first hand what i was getting myself into!
http://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd158/car_show_fan/Project%20Road%20Trip/10B3.jpg
there it is... out this door is the beautiful city of boston... i smiled and took a deep breathe and walked out to take in what i could first shot and so let the adventure begin!

Have you ever seen a building the shape of a milk bottle? Neither have i.... well not until i saw this amazing structure! Was made back in the 1930s.. back when making your business building a recognizable and strange shape to stand out of the crowd and draw in a crowd was the norm! and here it still stands in all its beauty located next to the children's museum!

Ive spent so much time in boston over the years I think I forget how fun and interesting it can be. the only time I actually go out and walk around is when my sister and I ride in on the train for a day and I show her around.

Interesting. I've got a bunch of pictures from my Road Trips/Adventures that reside on Facebook. Burlington, Wells Maine, Lynn Mass, Washington DC, San Francisco, Fresno CA, NYC, and the list goes on.
I just have no effort in embedding IMG links for over 600 pictures...
