Northeast
The Northeast is mainly quiet and chilly Saturday with lingering snow showers from Upstate New York to Maine. As the big storm from out of the Southwest and Midwest gradually shifts into the Northeast Sunday and Monday, a wintry mix will change to rain western and southern Pennsylvania, central and southern New Jersey, New York City and Long Island and southeast New England, but could stay all frozen over northeast Pennsylvania, northern New Jersey, Upstate New York, interior southern New England and northern New England. A secondary low could form off New Jersey Sunday night, helping to keep the cold air in place across the Hudson River Valley and most of New England. The secondary low could really explode as it slowly moves from off New Jersey to western Nova Scotia Monday and Tuesday. The Northwest would become very windy. Also, much of New England would see a significant snow where parts of New Hampshire and Maine could see accumulations well over 12 inches.

Just drove from Portsmouth to Portland in the usual amount of time plus about 10 minutes.

My only problem was the slower traffic, I-95 was all hard pack snow and I was easily hitting 60+ mph in most areas.

Doubt I'll be out tonight for any snow fun. Have to work again tomorrow and I have a feeling my energy level will be next to nothing.

The base is closed today up here so all the regular staff is at home. Just us watchstanders here which is sweet. Reading my book today FTW!

Brian: Back in the spring I went in to get the alignment done after I installed my springs, at the time they were offering a deal that included unlimited amount of alignments for 3 year at a cost of about $130. It was worth it for me since I do an average of 3 alignments a year (which usually costs about $40-$60).

Not sure if they're still offering it.

On a side note they mounted, balanced my snow tires and installed them on the car and put my RE-92's in with my summer wheels and tires in the car in plastic bags to not hurt the interior at all. It wasn't cheap, but not super expensive. Also I experienced no problems when looking at my summer wheels, no scuffs or marks, same with the winter set.

(if anyone wants a set of RE-92s with about 8,000 miles on them I'll be willing to hear offers)

Just the tires. My stock wheels have my winter tires mounted and are on my car now. And the summer wheels and tires are stored away in the shed. I just have the extra set of RE-92's now taking up room in my shed.
