This is not a woman bashing thread. Anybody who racks up debt like a MORAN(**** spelling) is unfit to marry.

theres no reason what so ever to have $170k in school debt and still be a ****ing xray tech and a part time photographer. thats grounds for dismissal in my book. my brothers fiance doesnt have close to that in debt and she has her masters degree, plus several others. if that ass**** broad spent $170k+ in schooling, and hasnt come out with a doctorate or two, then she's an idiot and deserves to be left with her own stupidity to suffer. :unamused:

My ex has close 100k and she keeps changing schools and degrees. She is now going for xray tech. Who knows if she will even finish that. Toooooooo much debt!

its too much debt that you KNOW you will eventually be helping to pay off for what can be considered not much in return. people who switch their majors halfway through degrees all the time drive me ****ing insane. pick something, get a mundane degree, and THEN go for another. if they at least finished the degree, then decided to get another one, thats fine. at least you have something to show for it!

That was one of the biggest battles we had. She had this self entitlement that I never understood.

BUT! she went through with it and has something great to show for it! not like the girl in the article who just ended up as an xray tech and photographer. theres a difference between someone who went through with it and got a doctorate and the chick in the article.

Id punch a girl square in the taint if we were dating and she assumed I should start paying for her school loans, also.

My fiance and i are in mounds of debt right now.....

from a house and a new car.

I agree though. A) should have told him straight out when things got serious, and B) you're paying that off yourself. no way in hell im going to spend my money on your schooling.

A house is one thing. Although, I don't see houses as investments, I think it is smart to buy if you can. But, student loans and credit card is different in my opinion.

Some students take out living expense checks or fund their dormitory expenses through Financial Aid or private loans.

My sister will graduate with over 100k in loans, BUT she'll start off making 100k

My brother just graduated a year ahead of time as an audio engineer...$170K later. Student loans are a bish. The more specialty your field is, the more you pay, too. :unamused:

His wife is going to school for some kind of doctorate. :dunno:

Me? I don't do that college thing.
