I need a favor...

My phone is a piece of junk, its been randomly shutting off and the screen occasionally is just black, or white, sometimes with colored lines. I'm not eligible for an early upgrade until Nov. 30th...

I want to Upgrade to an Android phone, but they wont let me! Obviously I don't want to pay the full upgrade price of $599.

Does anyone have any pull to get me to the early upgrade stage faster? I know there is a $20 fee for it, which I'm fine with..I just want a new phone.

Right now, ENV Touch

Wanted, Fascinate

Sounds similar to the issues on the env3. For the time being, take the battery off, take a standard size post-it note, fold it in half, then into 3rd's. Place it between the back of the phone and the battery, then clip the battery in place. Sounds nuts I know, but fixes the same similar issues on the env3 *EVERY* time (yet the folks at Verizon have no idea about it  ).

As for the upgrade, try calling customer care and tell them what's going on, and that you want to upgrade to an Android based smartphone. Being that you're so close to your early upgrade, they'll more then likely have no problem bumping it up.

I actually tried that about 2 hours ago, and offered me ZERO help on the subject. I might just decide to switch to AT&T

I know someone who will credit me my early term fee from VZW if i decide to leave them for ATT

You'd be MUCH better off waiting it out for the upgrade then going w/AT&T. Worst case, check eBay or CL for a temporary phone. You can always find one for $20 or $30 to tide you over.
