It's an 07, so first, get a compression test, then get it pro-tuned. Broken ringlands are very common on 07 and 08 STis.

Yeah i just bought it from subaru of nashua, its for 29000 on it and has been gone through pretty good im sure. idk if they did a compression test "i doubt it" but who around here pro_tunes sti's and would it even be worth it w/o having any aftermarket parts?

There are a few different options for pro-tunes. Check out our vendor section and the thread in the NH section. I know many tuners will not tune 07-08 STis without a compression test, their pistons are that bad.

You'll probably pick up 40-50 hp & ft/lbs with no other mods. It will be closer to 60-80 with a full TBE.

Hey, I bought my 06 TR there four years ago....Let's just say I payed too much!:( BTW...On the 06-07 if you debadge the emblem you are gonna have holes in you trunk but the lettering is fine. CONGRATS on the new ride.
Modding is like herpes there's no cure for it!

Welcome aboard. The place you are talking about is Synaptic 3 on Rt27. Very nice facility and great bunch of guys. They JUST got the new dyno set up and had a dyno day this past weekend. Price wise you really can't beat getting a tune by BrenTuning. A compression test is a must as stated before. Even with a stock motor a tune will yield GREAT results. Best of all better MPG's! :)

White FTW! Welcome aboard! You won't be disappointed with a BrenTune but check out the vendor section and ask some questions about the direction you want to take your car. We are full of... information!
