It's not going to be that much snow tonight. Probably only around 5 inches or so.

This weekend could produce more. I'll be out for that storm having some subaru + snow fun.

It is bleeping greasy out there. Just took ~35 minutes for the 9 mile drive from Ports --> Dovah. The bridge traffic was backed up to Home Depot in Portsmouth.

16 or 236...that is the question. it looks pretty bad here around the shipyard so far. reading this, 16 was pretty backed up an hour ago. it is going to take me all night to get home.

left pease at 3. drove to old home depot, drift for 5 minutes, sit in traffic, get home at 4:45. traffic was terrible. roads weren't even bad.

tried leaving pease around 4:30 tried a few difrent ways to get on 95. drifted on all the bases back roads then did like 50 till the tolls then the highway was pretty much empty all the way to seabrook were I got off. then got gas and some food for tonight and it only took me 25 mins longer to get home. i-pikes and all wheel drive ftw

left the base and couldnt get to 236 at 510. circle was choc-o-bloc all the way around...turned around and went back to 16 and took an hour to get to newington. got pissed and stopped at applebees for a tall glass of liquid patience and some food. back on the road at 7 and it moved, though slowly, the entire way home. home at 750...what a night with idiots that drive like they havent lived here their entire lives. f-n freaks!!!

ipikes are the best, i got em too, awesome tyre for the price. There are a couple of people who don't like them though like FreakBurrito, because they are X-rated or something or D-rated, which means that you aren't adviced to drive over 100 mph on them.~scared~

I Pikes are the best winter tire I have ever used. They are a little noisy and oversteer a bit on the pavement, but its an aggressive tread winter tire, thats what you should expect. The performance they have in snow/ice is amazing and they are pretty damn cheap too. No need to go over a hundred miles an hour in the winter, unless you want to die.
Thanks for the suggestion by the way, vlad.! ;)

yeah, no problem, I know about 10 subaru people who use them and not a single complaint.

yeh are a little floaty on dry pavement but im also running a 205/60/15 compared to my 225/45/17 so anything will feel floaty. so far im impressed.

You're using 15" rims on a WRX? What's your rim of choice?

we got a dumbing here :) And as most of you know this is my first winter driving my very own Subaru! I loved it.. while it still took me 4x as long to get home on unplowed roads :) I loved every minute of it.. and the Leg has heated wippers so I could see!!! Thank you all for convincing me to trade up :) Enjoy the snow

watching people drive around last night, i think it did... if it wasnt for the snow on the backs of cars...i would post plates of the two subarus (wrxs) that tried to impress me by trying to change lanes into me. in the truck...i am bigger, i will not move for stupid people, i will run you over, i will not ditch for anyone elses stupidity.

Well, Walpole sucked!!! I had to be to work for 5:30 so I left my house at 4:40... Well good news is I was only like 10mins late, bad news was the people are stupid as hell. I have some pretty nasty S curves around my house... well they are on all hills!!! lol so i had to drift up a few... good times till my assh*le hubby comes barreling towards me down the hill im coming up sideways.... lol.... Subie + Jeep = not good for me... or my car. Thankfully i fixed it before he got to me. ~bowdown~

That could have been a very bad ending to a fun trip to work!~crying~

see ya all next fri?
