So, I need to replace my front ball joints. Any suggestions on brand? How difficult is it to self-install these? Should I just bite the bullet and bring it to a shop?
Thanks in advance for helpful advice

Worn out? I'd probably see if Whiteline offers a standard replacement, not the roll center ones.

If they are anything like the set up in my LGT, they can be a real PITA to get out of the knuckles. I can link you to a tool that extracts them from the knuckles easily.

EDIT: They are just like the LGT. Not an easy job if they are rusted into the knuckle. Let me look for the tool I mentioned.

Why not just upgrade with the Roll Center Adjustment kit? Makes sense to me anyways.

TiC has the tool for cheap. worth it to have, even if you only use it once.

It can be done in the driveway with a BJ press and a 6 pack of your finest brew.

Yeah the boot is pretty much dead. I get a wicked clunking when I go over any sort of bump in the road. I'll look into that tool. Thanks!

Sounds good and dead too me. Worst is when it settles for a whilenan you hear nothing and don't feel motivated to do it... Then bam! Clunk clunk clunk!

I got some from advance auto for like $20, the $40 ones come with better hardware.
