E-ZPass Issues

I figure I'd ask if anyone else has had issues with being incorrectly targeted for violations with e-zpass. My girlfriend was just pulled over and told her license was suspended. Luckily her car wasn't towed and she didn't get a summons to appear. We went to the local PD and found out that her license was suspended at the end of November. She never received a notice of violation or suspension. Just another headache to deal with I guess.

Apparently the e-zpass system recorded her license plate some time in October for going through without a transmitter. She doesn't have e-zpass and never went through the incorrect lane. Hopefully things will go well over the phone with DMV in the morning.

So has anyone else had issues like this???

you wont lose your license for going through the toll without a pass, i do it all the time. My lp is on record, they still charge the owner that the lp is registered to, but they do send fines occasionally. Wait i think i just said the wrong thing, does she or does she not have ezpass. If she does that read above. But if she doesnt they wont suspend your license, The ezpass company sends out numberous letters too you before they even consider sending a fine. Let alone a suspension of your license. She either;

A: Went through it with no intent of stopping
B: did something other than the ezpass thing and now is being owned by the previous offense.

I agree with above... I have ez-pass and it f*&ks up all the time but when it does they give me plenty of time to fight the added charge before they refer it too local authorities. She would have had to been a habitual ez-pass offender to lose her license for that.

It sound more like cops feeding you a story about the ez-pass thing. Go in there and ask for proof... They are legally required to give you that much.

When george went from the WRX to the STI he never called in his plate change... they caught him and sent him a picture... in his case he circled the ez pass in the picture and sent a copy of the reg. and a letter.. all was cleared up...

in her case if she did run it they will have a picture.. whether it was the ez pass lane or not.. if they don't she never did it.. good luck!
