Here is mine: Just installed a $350 transmission last weekend.
For $500.00 I got a 2000 legact GT with leather, sunroof, power driver seat, and an automatic transmission that has some slipping. Aside from that the car is in good shape considering it has 186k. Here is the one pic I have of it so far.

it started off winter beater.. I feel I have done too much to it (worth much more than when it began in restores/repairs) to go like I used to. :unamused:
that is depressing...almost.
once this is gone.. it seems it is my last four cylinder, and I do not do transverse of any kind. back to a rusty truck I guess. :(

i guess this has to count for me. i bought it last november for $1500. i bought brand new studded snows, front and rear pads and rotors from napa. new rear endlinks, rear calipers, tranny flush, new belts, wipers and tune up. so i have about $2200 in it total .my plan was to buy a wrx this summer but i bought a house instead:D

$600 for the 30k mile taurtus.
good one.
I see the subes go to a bottom price like an atv or old truck... $1500-2500 is quite a few choices.
for 2100 recently a v8, 5 speed, shortbed, 4x4... something I never satisfied within when younger.. I would even swap back to 600 holley and hei with no ecu... :)
all the v8 stuff, and large engines.. going for rock bottom prices, lower than I have never seen.. even when it was my daily life over 20 years ago. just gas money I could guess, doing the classic business in.
swap the whole ecm madness out for 15+ more mpg for less than 500 shipped. so tempting...

We have no idea what kinda mileage. Story the previous owner gave me pretty much puts it at what he told me 53K when i bought it (its like 59K now) but probably 159k or something  it runs and gets me from point A to B
has the worst gas mileage out of any vehicle i ever owned (between Chevy Lumina, Jeep Cherokee, Subaru WRX and now This)
Painted as people call it. Red Neck Orange (i am waiting for a deer to jump out at me and be like "where the hells that noise coming from" )
It had a john deer tractor smoke stack on it but its gone.
I paid $1500 for it
and about 700 more to fix problems my mechanic found and get it inspected.

$1000 almost three years ago. Put another $1500? into a new rear diff, tune up, tires, brakes, wheels, new bumpers, doors, various interior pieces, JDM Headlights-Tails-Fogs, Paint for color matched parts....
Now that I'm thinking about it, it might be a bit more than $1500. But it did start out cheap...

My POS RS, cost me $4000 and I have put $0 into it. Siebon hood came on it, painted like that, headlights home baked, basic Rally Armor, and STI seats came outta his STI...
Probably giving it up for an 02 Forester S on sunday, so this may be for sale then.

Crashing bikes in snow is not as fluffy and nice as it at first seems.
