Before you listen to these guys and their worthless opinions, look into stock bearings.

IIf looking into a higher HP N/A build, should I still use stock, or should I go race?

stock is good.
if they are the ACL aluminm/tin/silicon (subes love them long time)..and they are quite modern.. even looking back at my 80s sube that came with them. They are still ahead.
if to go with 3 layer, more common to american engines...
chamfering is a must do. I saw the smears on an engine that was torn down after 3 layer bearings. ACL don't do that..
subaru knows what they are doing there.
