I feel the same way my friend....

I never thought I'd see the day a wrx/sti hit the $40,000 tag :(

I bought my 06 wrx limited 2 years ago with 19,000 miles on it for $19,000 and that's a $300.00 a month payment (72months).

Can you imagine finacing $40K for 72 months @6.0% $660.00 :spin:

Way to rich for my blood personally but I do love the lines of the 2011 on the wrx's and STI's

if i were to buy a new one i would wait for someone to trade one in with low miles. That how i bought my car. I bought it in november of 07 with 6000 miles on it for 30k

Yeah that's always the way I've bought cars too. Find one with low miles and save $10,000 that always works :)

Even my wrx limited was expensive back in 2006 having a msrp of $27,500 but look at 4 years later the same wrx limited goes for $29,500.... So a $2000.00 msrp increase over the last 4 years.

Prices posted up in the Manchester Subaru pricing thread... ($32,758 for a 4 door STi)

You guys are crazy if you think these cars are too expensive. :spin:

Pricing notes:
$34,720 for base STi is only $1,700 more than 05 STi which more than accounts for inflation and added equipment.

07 WRX Limited --> 2011 WRX Limited has a $1,550 price difference.

That gets you:
HIDs
Bluetooth
USB support
Stereo controls on the wheel
Performance tires (:lol: RE92s)
8" wide wheels
Fold down seats
and of course 41hp

Well worth the $1500 if you ask me :D

In the other thread, and still $4,000 less than an Evo with the same features. Don't forget the 08+ STi's w/BBS and NAV were $40,000 without leather, a roof, heated seats, a sweet wing, or the upgraded suspension, so that is nothing new.

All the STi's went down in price and up in performance this year, what other car can you say that about? I drove one 120 miles a few days ago and it is leaps and bounds above any older stock STi.

X2 My exact feelings....

Great cars for the options and performance that you get and better than the competition by far but I couldn't swing the payment right now on a new one with having a new house and 2 kids :lol:

Wrx limited's years- 2006,2007, 2011

The 2011's you do get more feature than the previous limited such as bluetooth, HID's, 41HP more, etc... such as the price increase you get more features too :)

I just find it hard to take that you're paying nearly $40k for an econobox. And it's a Subaru.

That price tag is BMW and Audi territory IMO...

Me too, 'cause if it doesn't then I set you up for disappointment. I'm not usually a fan of the STI wing as I posted on another thread about the 2011, but it is growing on me for this model. The new fenders are awesome imo.

1st set may have been a "B" if I remember correctly....

Never the less very exciting but once I found out about C's and such those "B's" weren't quite as exciting any more :lol:

So in 5 years when the 2016 STI is out the 2011 will be the B's and the 2016 will be the C's. Makes perfect sense. lol. It really is sweet in person.

Had I achieved the consciousness to remember that event, yes. Technically yes, the images did enter my brain of my mothers tits. But they don't count. lol, only tits after reaching the age of reason count. Though, I am quite sure that at the time I was very happy to see them. Pretty sure they don't do test drives on the STI unless there is money on the table.

I delivered one to CT last week, and it feels pretty different than my car surprisingly. The new rear spring rates make it want to rotate more than before. The steering is better too with the nice LCA bushings.

Thanks Gary! I have to say I am shocked with the 2011 STi...night and day difference...if things go in my favor I will be driving it shortly..
