verison fiber optic stuff

Anyone here have it? My parents are thinking of switching over from comcrap and we were wondering how there service is? It would be all three, phone internet and TV. What kind of HD channels would you get with just the regular package? Do we still get all of the local channels like cable? I know the internet is fast, but is it still fast without getting a really expensive package? Anything else we should know about it?

i just had to renew my service with comcast, only reason i did that was cause apparently verizon is not available in my area yet. If they do decide to get verizon they might score a free (small) tv.

I know I love it. Upload an download speeds are insane. If I could get it I would in less than a second. Would not even be thought in mind. FIOS is the ****!

Well it looks like my parents aren't getting it because they don't have the TV service here yet. They recommend getting a dish instead until they have TV here. oh well. Maybe it'll still happen.

my mom just got the fios from verizon. Its pretty damn fast blows my comcast away. and every station is in hd it looks like.

if tv is not available now, it wont be for many many years. please read about verizon and fairpoint. there are no plans to expand fios services in NH for many many years. this thread is worthless now that its a been clarified that portsmouth does not have the tv service available, meaning ull always be stuck with comcrapstic or directTV which doesnt work when it snows
