I signed up for their gym package 2 weeks ago.
$90 a year (Dover Resident), you get full gym access, no lines, no waiting for equipment.
It's a decent size gym too. I usually go around 430pm and I never wait in line for cardio equipment.

Yes, indoor basketball court.
It's seperate from the gym and the hours are ok...

PF sucks donkey balls.
If you don't mind waiting in line for a machine while some 18 year old punk stairs at his steriod pimpled face in the mirror, then PF is a perfect gym.
either that or you like to stare at hot young college girls (not my forte' while i'm working out)

I don't have to pay for it, I've never had to wait for a machine, I've never seen any steroid pimpled 18 year olds checking themselves out in a mirror. You probably just go during some crappy times of the day. With my schedule it's very easy to get in there during a morning on a week day and find the place barely active if at all.
No lines for a machine + free > $90 a year
There aren't many hot young college chicks at the Portland or Portsmouth PF's. When I've gone to the Dover one there are certainly some there. I for one don't mind looking at them since it beats looking at Ms. Robinson, the 40 year old, 200 pound woman in spandex who decided that she'd used the treadmill at the gym to try and slim herself down. If that's your forte' then more power to ya.
EDIT: I am jealous of the ability to play some indoor basketball and I'm sure you probably have raquet ball courts. But that's the only reason I'd go to a health club over a free offer at a gym.

Where is the Gym in Dover? I'd sign up just so I could heave bricks at the hoop...
Despite my less than ideal basketball physique... I do like shooting around.

I used to go to Gold's back when I was 19 or 20. I paid out the ass for it too... $36 bucks a months after my student discount! Yeah they had a pool, raquetball courts, indoor basketball courts, saunas, steam rooms, strip aerobics classes, etc. etc. etc. but it wasn't worth it when I go to Coastal Fitness now for <$20 a month. It's not $90 bucks for the year, but it isn't bad at all.

I'm paying $27 a month for the works, (Young Adult Discount) I'm very happy with it.
It's a full fledged fitness club, so it's well worth the extra money over PF. The locker rooms are very clean, I love the fact that there is a pool, all the equipment is well maintained. There is an indoor track, backetball court, and I believe that you can go to free group exercise classes. I'm not sure how much it is for adults, (Probaly pricey) but I'm looking for something that's more then Cardio, Machines, and Freeweights.
