When massive flow and cooling is needed, the Fast Motorsports Front Mount Intercooler for the 08-10 WRX/STi delivers. Dwarfing the tiny factory intercooler core volume by more than 3.3 times, the FMS Front Mount Intercooler bar and plate core is larger AND less restrictive at high flow rates resulting in better cooling performance.
A cooler intake charge means more power and less chance of detonation or pre-ignition when running higher than factory boost levels. Considering a turbo upgrade? The Fast Motorsports intercooler will be able to handle the largest of turbo upgrades giving you literally dozens of upgrade options for your WRX/STI . The FMS FMIC kit includes everything to bolt up the massive bar & plate style core and includes mirror polished piping and silicone couplers for leak-free plumbing.
If you have an 08-09 WRX a stock bypass valve flange is integrated into the piping so there is not need to purchase an aftermarket valve, unlike similar kits from the competition.

Product Specs:
"The massive bar and plate Import Performance Research top mount intercoolers for your 08-10 Subaru WRX bolt to the stock turbo piping with slight trimming to your factory engine cover. These TMICs will also accommodate a stock or stock replacement blow-off valve. The IRP TMIC flows 200% better and it will not fall apart like the stock tmic. The volume is almost doubled, and the internal passages are .375″ as opposed to the stock’s .2″: resulting in a large performance increase and the capability to handle more boost. fits 05-09 legacy gt + 08-10 wrx.”
Black coating:
The pricing reflects the traditional finish, if you would like them coated black, it is an extra 39.00 (usually 100.00). It allows the TMIC to operate much cooler (claimed 30% by IPR) than the uncoated version.

Swain Tech’s BBE™ (Black Body Emitter) heat dissipating coating uses high emissivity materials such as copper oxides, vanadium, and some ceramics that radiate heat from a surface. Applied to the exterior surfaces of brake rotors, intake manifolds, heads, intercoolers, engine blocks, and many other parts, this coating gets heat out of a part. The coating is an attractive satin black, functional and very durable."
Custom Colors!
Yes that's right, for 55.00 we can do whatever color you want! It will take us an extra 5-7 days, but its worth it! These will also be done with the same heat protective coating as the black finishes, but to your color specs! Lime green, orange, red... no problem.
