I'm very excited! Not only do I get to install my new cat-back exhaust this week but I just found a learned some exciting information.
Some of you know about my lug-nut fiasco and some don't so here's the back story. I bought myself a set of 17x8 5x100 Rota Torques for my summer set of wheels. Before they arrived I ordered a set of Blue Work RS lugs. The lugs are super light, super strong and the blue matte finish makes me happy in my crotch area, ya I said it. So I receive the lugs, and the wheels and head to my buddys shop in Hampton to have the tires mounted and the wheels put on. Then we ran into the problem. Rota Torque holes are far smaller then anticipated for such a wide lug nut such as the Works. In fact if you were to use a normal 21mm socket you'd rip apart the wheel and never fit the lug on secure. I'm not a tool guy for the most and know more about your home tools then mechanic tools. I've never tried to play myself as a super mechanic and really only know general stuff. At any rate, we put the wheels on with some regular chrome spline lugs.
So all of the above took place a year ago. Flash forward to yesterday. I was on the night shift last night and had some extra time (try 12 hours extra time!) and started to browse the members gallery on nasioc. Then I came across this:

That's right, you're seeing what I'm seeing. A member with the same Rota Torques I have with the same Work RS lugs I have. So I message him and ask him. Apparantly, and I was dumb to this, but they sell the 21mm with a thin enough wall to install the work lugs. It's still a close call, but with a little care it works out in the end.
So now I'm pumped because I know these lugs will look real good with my WRB car and the Rota Torques. In addition I'll be ordering a Polyurethane V-Limited front lip when the weather gets better.
Sorry for the long post, but this little incident has been the bain of my existance for a year now and I tried to sell the lugs when I learned they wouldn't work. Now I'm happy I never found a buyer!
