Our power went out but then came right back on. I hope that's the only episode we have. I hate losing power.

Sounds like the main in your area reset itself. usually they will try to reset themselves once, if that doesn't work they stay off until they are manually flipped back on.

I work for the phone company (Fairpoint, this week ;)) as an outside construction splicer. I do some repairwork, too, when they get overloaded. But I usually do outside plant buildouts and facility changes and such. Copper, fiber, electronics... You got it! :D

Actually I do the tree work around the lines. I work for Asplundh. Got a bunch of OT out of this storm cutting trees off the lines!!
