Hoggzaust

Well I did the hoggzaust mod, if you dont know what it is, it is a few washers between the mid pipe and axle back haha. Well it sounds good and is not loud at all.

no it sounds a little louder but still subyish, I agree totally ghetto though.

i did it with my stock exhaust. sounds good for 2$

What is so wrong with the sound of an inline 4. 95% of the time you just hear them with **** mufflers and that is what gives them a bad reputation. Any car with a balanced exhaust note will suffer in the noise category with a garbage muffler causing resonance. The only reason you can slap any old exhaust on the Subaru and it sound good is because of the bad design on the header.

At the end of the day the best header is one with equal tube lengths from the exhaust valve. Subaru could really use to change a few things about the design of the heads and the valves but they are a bunch of stuffy old guys working there. You are too lazy to innovate so you just leave the heads poorly designed along with the manifold.

I am not knocking on them 100% because that screwed up exhaust port on number 3 or 4 makes even cars with an equal length manifold sound really nice. Although I still wish they would find a way to fix that... *****s.
