EDIT - Oops! I meant to put this in the Member Gallery! Can someone please move it there and then delete this request? lol

Hey guys,

Gonna whore up some pics I took tonight on here, so you are forewarned! lol

I don't have a very good camera (3 year old Canon PowerShot A590), and even less skill, but this is what I came up with tonight just driving around. -Side note: NH kids are too well behaved! I couldn't find a Graffiti wall anywhere in Nashua, Milford, or Manchester!- Anyways, I had the camera set to "P" (program) in some shots and the night setting in others with an ISO of 80 and shutter set to 2+, which was as much as I could get it. I used a tripod. I tried to frame some interesting shots and turn the tire the right way, but I do see quite a few mistakes on my part. I do think I found the low-light limit of this camera though. I took about 100 shots, and of those, these 14 came out pretty decent. They are in chronological order. I don't know if I improved any or not, but it's the best I could do with what I got and what little scenery I could find. These are all "untouched" as I have no idea where to even start with photoshop!

So here ya go. LMK what ya think!

very nice!

remember its not the equiptment that makes you a good photographer its the ability as a photographer to create a good image that makes a good photographer. anyone of the high skill level photographers on here like Cannonshooter and kburnell will tell you that.

so never let the fact you got a simple point n shoot discourage you. go out there and have fun enjoy taking pictures

on a side note you should look for a guy named Benji Day (lives in manchester area). He probably could spray you up some sick ass graffiti (he does air brush work for a job) to shoot your car infront of... just gotta make sure he won't get in trouble  (I.E asking permission from owner of said wall to let you do this.. which i know 95% of time they will say no)

You and me both! I've been hovering over the add to cart button on a Rebel T2i or a Sony Nex3 compact DSLR. But i can't get over my responsible side.

they seem to hang onto blur..

did you use a timer?
the canon is plenty capable.

or maybe multi shots at once, and timer.

sometimes blur is good. my own camera is a 40 dollar nikon (broken battery cover = big drama) gotta find more of those.

also 40 dollar nikon:

one more.

I find they are too small to even think of holding in the dark expecting a shot..
altho, my 35 mm from the 80s was the same. digital just mimicked it for odd reasons...when they did not have to. :unamused:
