im still down for going up! i have my friends motorcycle helmet but i dont think it says snell approved do they rent out helmets there? ill be there around 8-8:30...... anyone usually meet up before going?

Good time today! Nice to see some heavy rain action. Funny I got caught working on the track and breaking and no chance to run in it. Got second today, overall was happy with my performance.

Bump, next race is the 21st of September. Got the new rollllll Bar in and the harness will be in tomorrow!

It actually looks pretty sweet, really easy install too. I think ill be planted far better for the next race.

I am now in first place in SM class points! Pretty pumped, although I am the only one in my class that has attended all the races so far. Oh well, still bragging rights! I've made the podium every race but one this year! Looking forward to the next race, hopefully I will have some goodies on by then to better my times a lil.

RCE Springs, bigger rear sway, sticky compound for the tires, and maybe, just mayyybe a nice new tune. :)

Come spectate and get the feel of it. Show up with us at 8 and we can get you in for free to work. You have to work on the track and its easy as hell, plus its up close and personal! People are willing to answer any questions you have, as well as us!

Anyone coming as spectators? I know Kevin and wagon said something about it, hope some of you at least come watch. You can chill on the track and its free as long as you work. Get some time talking to other racers and get as much info as you want. You can also go out to the infield of the real track and watch whatever is going on there. Its usually Bikes or open wheeled racers. Sometimes we get lucky and the porsche clubs are there.

It is, but I wouldnt take them in the track at that point. You wont be able to watch from the side of the road. If you were to come after like 9.30 you will have to pay like 15 bucks each for an infield pass and you can go anywhere with the wife and kid, i think. Not 100% sure to be honest. Technically if you go in free for sccnh autox's you are a worker not a spectator for insurance purposes. It makes sense.

Good times yesterday guys, big turnout of familiar faces. Drove like crap in the morning but got back in tune with the new springs in the afternoon. I think I landed 4th in my class which is still enough to keep my lead in points!

The STI has much more power and you are able to control it with the throttle more. The Bugeye was more of a neutral car but felt like it stuck better. The bugeye would stick and stick and stick. The STi will oversteer and the steering feel is 50 better 50 worse so it is a toss up.

I could go on and on though lol.

The course was ****in awesome! One of the funner ones of the year, and it was up in the top lot which is def different than the one I am used to.

I am looking into some Sticky tires. Maybe R comp. Alumnium Driveshaft maybe. Small suspension stuff. Basically I want to mimic what I had on the WRX at some point. Possibly get the 37 enlarged and installed.

Then I'll be ready to rock in the cones. SM STI with 275's, coils, super fast spooling turbo and good supporting suspension bits. Hellll yeas.

Would be sweet man, the 09's should eat up the D stock class if they are still in that category.

They already should not be in DS. With this model coming out they need to be moved to a different class. Who knows though. They might suck at the autocross. SCCA probably wont care until they start to dominate if they do.

I think Tom got either 7th or 9th out of 16. We placed him in A Stock though, and he should technically be in BSP, so, he got a better PAX which placed him better. He did have some natural skill though and did very very well for his first time out!

Good luck! You couldnt go it with the bugeye hopefully the STi will fare you a little better! ;) I blame your better times on the six speed and its ability to keep the VF39 boosting without Left Foot Braking through corners. I am running into that problem now with my VF39. We will see what happens affter the few goodies I have to install, and the tune. Hopefully I can boost a little earlier.

The limiting factor for the Bugeye was the engine which was essentially unmodified. Stock turbo you know. 2.0, no AVCS. But as a point of reference the only autocross I raced with my Bilstein suspension my car was faster than yours even with those junky tires I had.

If you weren't beating me that would be a serious problem like your engine failed and your wheel flew off on the course.

Look at Peter's STi for example. BONE stock as bone stock gets and it scored the 5th best RAW time of the day. Beating so so so so so so so so many others. Basically beat all the modified cars except Stick stock cars and even some of them were beat.

Well Peter is a pretty kickass driver, as we have seen. He rips it up better than Rick in the Synaptic STI.
