Well I bought my 2008 LGT used back in december just before the snow started flying from MacMulkin Chevrolet in Nashua. Picked it up with 15k on the clock and in very good shape. Drove the car til early-mid April with nothing but good things to say about the car. Then friday the 15th after dropping my fiance off at the house, I decided to head up to Nashua to meet up with some friends. As I pull off the highway i hear a very faint ticking noise. By the time I got to the parking garage in downtown the noise had gotten far far worse. Now with only 21k on the car I figured "what the hell could be wrong?" Oil was full and car drove fine other than that. Towed it up to Manchester Subaru that sunday after it sat in my driveway for the weekend. Late monday afternoon I get a call saying that the motor was potentially no good and a tear down was needed. Late tuesday afternoon I gave a call to find out the the cyl 2 rod bearing was junk and the motor would have to be rebuilt or replaced. The car was at the dealer for 16 days due to minor issues with the car and SOA not wanting to cover it until the issues were sorted out. The sales manager pushed to get me a full long block instead of rebuilding the motor I had due to the amount of internal damage done by the metal shavings floating around. I finally got a call this past wed morning saying my car was all set and SOA took care of the bill. Eric was the one working on the car and after I took the car home I brought it to work and put it on the lift to really get a good look. He did a flawless job. The car looked the same as when I had dropped it off and nothing was touched. And even more so, the outside of my car was unscathed. Im happy with the service I got and was glad to see the dealer "on my side" as far as getting a whole new motor. My ONLY complaint is that I had to call service to figure out what was going on with the car. I had only received 2 phone calls in 16 days....First stating the motor needed to be pulled, second was to tell me it was all set. But I finally have my car back and Im happy.
