If for some reason I can't find a job that starts me at $35k-$40k before taxes by the end of my enlistment I may have to move out of the area too. Or I'll have to extend a year on my contract, which is the last thing on earth I want to do.

Other then being a police officer not too many places start at that pay rate without a degree.

Good thing I have a degree then, plus 4 years experience in the "real" world.

If you are going to move.. do it before you get locked into a Job where you can't take/don't want to take a pay cut and own a house, yada yada.

... yet I just made the trek to Home Depot in my all season-shod peg leg burnout machine, in the snow. My hopes are not high.:)
