Schweet!
Would you recommend it?
From a cost to value ratio?

Mexico is one of the best cost to value ratios... If you don't pick a major vacation week you can easily do 7 nights, with airfare, all inclusive food and drinks for as little as $1000 per person and stay at a pretty nice place for $1500. I spent a grand total of $120 while I was down there, $100 for an excursion and $20 tipping for mas alcohol in my drinks.

SALTY is true, it has to do with the temp and the amount of light they get, I would guess its about 4 times saltier than our coastal waters...
I was in Bermuda and cut my knee pretty bad on a coral reef, around here it would have hurt till the water made it numb, over there it HURT LIKE A MOTHER#$%@$# RUBBING SALT INTO THE CUTS, and had swollen up before I could get out of the water and apply a coldpack..
on the plus side, you stop bleeding sooner as the salt "burns" the wounds,
but any amount of blood is bad when there are sharks around!
