This is a conversation that is taking place at nasioc. Some guy posted pictures of himself at snowbird. I made some comment saying that it looked like fun and all and that I had been there two weeks ago. Some other guy says he like alta and I respond say yeah, alta is FTW because it skier only.
Then this douche come on and calls me a nazi for saying that and it builds from there. Sure I am stubborn and all but damn...I think this guy is a bit insecure about himself and his penis size.

OP posted up a few pics from the bird.. some nazi chimed in and claimed alta and "skier only" type %$(#&... so i came back at him.. and will keep doing so.
as far as all this other bs..... listen, for one most of you only have a one sided view as i mentioned before..
personally, i've ridden for 17yrs, skied for 8yrs prior to that.. never have or will go back.. it's become my life for both enjoyment and income and i've seen most all the changes and viewpoints go down firsthand.
there is no "rebel battle" or rep im looking to have nor anyone else im with.. the kooks still ruin it for us a lot of the time, ridin around yellin, with shakas over their head.. playing out an early 90's stereotype.. so, to them.. say whatever you want.
the slopes are littered with beginner skiers.. cutting people off, colliding with people, stopping in the middle of high speed cats, in the middle of runs, etc.. *do these people also just stop in the middle of the road when their driving? i'll never understand the density of these idiots..
a beginner snowboarder cant even go more that 30ft before falling down.. a skier: instantly 30mph if they dont watch it.. putting themselves into some sort of ridiculous situation..
have you not figured out that we know and love skateboarding and most of us came from it? yes OF COURSE it's influenced by skateboarding.. it's supposed to be..
skiiing............ newsflash... is directly related to one of the most retarded "sports" ever created.. rollerblading.. there is a reason that is gone, laughed at, no longer in xgames etc. etc. etc.
i came up in the sport where it was honestly a battle on the slopes at times.. being looked SO down upon as a snowboarder.. hated by more or less the entire world of skiing.. unless you lived in europe at the time..
these racist, oldschool, elitist resorts still hang on to the mentality of old..
ffd to 10 or so years ago.... skiing needs numbers at their resorts, technology is going nowhere.. there is no freshness, no progression..
money... it made them hypocrites.. now, what do you have from all those people... snowboard technology in ski's, rollerbla.. err i mean skiers in the pipe.. skier's on rails, wide ski's, they look EXACTLY like snowboarders, clothing wise.. and all the top clothing lines are..... biten from snowboarding...
they start adopting skateboarding terminology... WHICH IS THE WORST... you idiots.. its so pitiful.. calling out skate/snowboard grabs.. some of which you have adapted to touching a boot buckle, let alone grabbing one of your planks.. use rollerblade terms... that's what you're doing and that makes sense.. and it would legitimize all our laughs.. skiing "switch" you cant go switch.. i'll tell you that! the terms "fakie" and "switch" stem in skateboarding from when people would be skating backwards and they did it well enough that they called fakie.. as in faking someone out to think they ride that way in the first place... switch is a different form of fakie where you are actually reversing every part of the move..
another newsflash... you're not faking ANYONE out with what you call switch.. coming down, looking like you're about to take it in the ass... for your information, a LARGE amount of the snowboard community refers to that as [i]going in gay[i].. worldwide.. (to those laughing right now.. wait till the next time you see a skier going backwards, live.. you'll laugh even harder.)
i can go out on a powder day and at times, spend some time with solid, really good big mtn skiers.. who we share mutual respect with and it's fine..
yet the majority from each sport looks at eachother in a negative way.. which is fine to me.. really.... just dont tell someone where or where they cannot pay to do something on national forestry land... and dont come on here as some kook and claim some elitest crap.. it's tiring.
soo... after all this.. we still have people like in this thread... all over the country... utah.. etc... with that mentality.. skiers only, skiers are better, snowboarders are idiots, skiers are idiots..
this is not the argument.
the fact of the matter is, there are places that we are "not allowed".. racism and the mentalities that follow it.. even after re-shaping your sport (that was invented as a mode of transportation in the first place), sweeping olympic medals and overall just being more creative and free than that archaic setup you guys cruise around on.. it's ridiculous.. any of you that follow it, are ridiculous... and that's just the facts...
have fun... as the majority of skiers will just go do the same thing every day and "work on your turns" for the next 30yrs... fun times.
i'll think of each of you as i spray skiers sitting around like ducks, every time im up...
