Who wants to come fixx it?:D
I may even try to sell U a modded STi while UR here...
If by "fixx it" you mean take it off your hands for you, for free then sure.
So what's wrong with it anyways?

Hai....
Made a terrible noise and that was that, as soon as I put the clutch in it went dead. I have not attempted to start it since for fear of doing more damage. Really I am clue free as to what may have happened other than maybe having done bad things to a rodent, I drive so rarely now because of ****ville for health. Maybe once a week I drive it ten or so miles if that
Thinking maybe drain and pull the radiator to access the timing belt cover and see if it is still there? I don't see a way to really get at it other than lifting the motor....But I also have the vision skills of Ray Charles at a shooting range...hahahaha

I dont know how the RS are, havent worked much on them.
You could take off one of the sides of the timbing belt cover.. (I favor the driver side because of more room when you take out the coolant overflow tank) and takes a peaky just to see if the belt is even still on or if its decayed.. 4 or 5 small bolts!
Easy as pie

Thank U Aexion....& everyone else. One of my clients/patients has offered to do pretty much just that and see if it still exists... hahahaha now that the car is dead it is hard to get to be face to face with him as he doesn't drive.

I did a timing belt on an 01 rs this past winter. You can pull the radiator fans and get access to the timing belt covers there. My bet is the cogg idler pulley **** the bed and the heads got hit by the piston.
You are doing the right thing by not starting the car and removing the timing belt cover first.
Also remember to lossen the bolts on the pulleys before you try to loosn the belt tension for the a/c and alternator. :)

if you think you spun a bearing, pull off the oil pan and wiggle the forks on the crank
If you find one that is loose and clearly sounds like theres metal on metal contact...
congrats, and welcome to the spun bearing club :(
There is a video on you tube some where of a guy doing just that

Progress?

I didnt have a chance to do anything to it, there is a ton of outside stresses in my home right now keeping me from it. :\ I also have to wait for my hands to stop being so sore so I can move them and actually hold on to something such as a screwdriver... don't ask, it sucks beyond belief...

lol... also please keep in mind, I was a business/advertising major in college these wrench things are somewhat foreign to me other than throwing them and the fact I really can not drive very much anymore is slowing me down.

Drain the oil into a nice clean pan, and then look at it in the sun light. If there are gold swirls in it, with small goldish specs, then it is a bad road bearing, and your best bet is to get a new motor. This is probably the easiest and quickest way to find out what is wrong. Man I wish you were closer!!!

lol dude... I didn't delete you from my friends, I deleted ME from facebook. My soon to B ex wife had this madd fit of jealousy over my friendship with another medical marijuana patient/caregiver. She said some really nasty **** along the way to this person who I have never even met besides on facebook. Turns out it was just her scapegoat for what was going on in her head, seems she is one of those self-destructing types: One of her siblings warned me early on and after x amount of years I can see it runs in their family.
you know those wedding vows about sickness and in health, richer and poorer...blah blah blah. Seems once I became "disabled" according to "them" and could not make the big buxx she was out. Turns out there may have been lots of other lies along the way including the potential for her having broken a federal law....
 Glad U asked?

damn...
Oscar, I know much of what's going on (hope you don't mind) and I know why you didn't add me to FB but go ahead, I don't care if the G-man looks at my page. It deffinately sucks about what's going on. Nothing like being kicked when you're down, huh? Karma's a ***** and hopefully it'll come back to haunt her.
