02 wrx questions

I have an 02 impreza wrx 2.0t and I was thinking of getting a greddy or hks manual boost controller but im not sure how much boost i can get out of my stock motor?:rolleyes:

+1. You came to the right place for advice! COBB is the way to go. Pricey, but worth it.

To your question...your stock TD04, in good condition should SAFELY push 17-18 lbs of boost without blowing. It can go higher, but I personally would not recommend you doing such a thing. The accessport or and openECU tune is your best first bet for a power mod. You are stock running 14.1 lbs of boost, IIRC. Please understand that bumping up your boost without a proper tune is horrible for not only your turbo, but the entire motor. Please be careful and do some research before modding!
