is this a tiberon replacement...or...

Yes.

My plan is to hold on to the subaru for 2-3 years, keep it, then buy a pre-owned 135i for a summer car. However this genisis may throw a wrench in that plan.

I have no idea but look at the thing man.

14 feet long. 6 feet wide. 300 horsepower V6 RWD. ORRR!!!!!!!!! I4 Turbo RWD. Both are 6 speeds.

How come nobody else is in love at first site with this car?

Seriously!!!! Just plain old multi link rear suspension but it is looking like the front is going to be some kind of double wishbone.

all it needs is AWD.

It's meant to compete with the Ford Mustang. Wouldn't make much sense for AWD.

I think it's going to be tits. People are talking about it like it's the next 240SX. A nice, cheap, RWD car.

I think it looks hawt, I like some of the current hundais, not T but the competitor of Honda Accent, I don't remember its model name. Hyundai has come a long way. Very good for them.

I think its great that Hyundai is releasing it... hopefully with a Hyundai price tag. I would gladly drop 20k on a 300hp RWD with LSD and brembos. Manufacturer means nothing to me... debadge it if your ashamed.

Couldn't have said it better about "debadging"

If you look closely....brembos and other nice features are options. I am sure the base price for this thing will be decent (19k or so) but I bet fully loaded youre looking at another 6+ g's, which personally I would never ever spend on a hyundai. They're Korean! No offense Eugene. Some of the cars are decent, but as far as a sports car goes, I'll put money on it now that it wont hold up, nor storm the market.

Does it have power windows?

^^Lol....

I was thinking.....It could possibly be made by another major manufacturer...which in that case it might be alright. However, I bet any vehicle that comes equipped with Brembos is going to be right around the 25 k + range

probably two midgets, one in each door, with a can on a rope...might add a little tothe overall weight of the car though...

I read somewhere that fully loaded with the V6 it is going to be around 30K Looks to be more of competitor for smaller BMW's. Leather and stuff. It blows a Mustang away without en effort at all.

I think you can call this a Tiberon BIG brother. I can see it reaching 30k but not really over. The Tibby is about 20k. So this thing being so much nicer of a car should be 25-30k.

hyundai has those great warranties too. my parents love them bc of this. always take em back to the dealership with every single little problem they have, and they get the work free.

I would also to like add. I owned a 96 Sonata for my first car. The thing was like a polar bear.

Only problem I ever had was the automatic transmission which in my opinion was top quality. I did blown one up but that was in reverse wide open at the rev limiter going down a hill and then neutral dropping it into first from the rev limiter. (smoked the tires really well but then I had to drive home in reverse) Oppssss. lol.

Oh now to my point. That friggin car was awesome. I couldn't kill it. I crashed it into everything. Curbs, trees, ice banks. Best of all for the thousands of miles I owned it the motor never showed any wear. And I did my best back then to blow it up. Like riding the rev limiter for 30 minutes straight once. Didn't burn a drop of oil. Nothing! That mother was sweet. Wish I had not sold it :(

Still not interested....If someone were to buy this over an STi, or even a WRX, then put mods into it, they would be STUPID. Hyundais are gay and thats all there is to it. I will fight this one all the way without any regard to what y'all think :)
