Like the title says
COBB CAI hits it and causes the filter to hit the hood :unamused:
I have not done it, but have done a little researching on the topic.
First, it's probably recommended that you make the intake fit as opposed to relocating the ABS module.
You could flip the module and mount from underneath the inner fender directly under it's current location. You'd have to get some brake line and a flaring tool and re-route the hard lines. Or, you could delete the module and run new hard lines into a proportioning valve, which could be located pretty much any where your heart desires.
Either way you'll need some hard line, fittings and a flaring/bending tool.

I have a flaring tool you could borrow if you were going to do this

sounds complicated
Cut hole in hood.
Rotate CAI to stick straight up
Drag race
Profit.

DO IT
It's actually done a lot in the world of shaved bays (Honda/VW), but it is a huge pain on a Subaru.

Because there's 8million hoses under a Subaru hood

Cut lines and bypass the module, remove the fuse, rip the module out and throw it the **** out. Subaru ABS (actually any ABS) is the most worthless thing out there for anyone who even has the slightest clue about car control.

I have even snipped the seatbelt out of the damn car.
I can't wait to find a 1970 something next...87 is getting too close to the special ed class they needed to graduate with false pride.

Only if they know about it. The car came equipped with it, they don't look for it.

I think it might be easier to get a different after maf tube. Maybe one that's longer.

It may fit, but serious modifications would be needed probably.

I got my K&N typhoon heat shield on with my X02, had to modify extensively but it was worth it.

I think KS Tech makes an airbox that should work with your FMIC.
