Sounds better than paying to sit and watch cars drag race/drag race myself. Hmm what would I rather do..... buy two to three meals with the money I would spend there and save all that gas.

Or beat the **** out of my car launching it and racing it for up to 3 minutes(that is if I get that many runs) while at the same time buying food since I am going to get hungry sitting in the 40 car line to race my car for 14 seconds and then slam the brakes on.

This is by far the most ignorant post I have ever come across. In fact this is one of the most rediculous car club forums that I have ever come across.

First of all R-tard seeing as you are on a car club forum most people would assume that you are interested in doing something with your car besides stairing at it in the driveway whether that is drag racing, rally racing, or auto-x. But I guess you would rather stuff your face with greasy food than make any atempt to work towards a goal on your car.

Maybe this never crossed your mind but if your are going to rally race your car needs to be fast and an excellent way to test and tune a car for horse power is at the dragway.

I have never been on a car forum where there are more threads with pictures of peoples cars than both performance threads and basic maintenance threads combined.

But what should I expect form a site that has moderators that let someone start a whore post thread? Maybe I'm wrong but aren't the number of posts you have suppost to reflect how long you've been here and possibly how much you know about subarus? (As in the 1.8L, 2.0L, 2.5L under the screen name.) Doesn't allowing a thread for post whoring defeat that porpose?

You guys have so many F***ing off topic posts it takes all of the quality out any any thread that might accidently discuss cars. And someone searching and trying to learn good information has to read through 50 posts about what you had for lunch with your friend in Vermont, which and has nothing to do with the topic of the thread.

Here is an idea since you hate working on your car and would rather "attempt" to eat at wings your way. (Hmm I know that they can only seat seven people and that is why we couldn't eat there last time but I'm sure it will be different this time.) Why don't you just go register on myspace.com. I don't think you'll have to worry about someone suggesting a dragway meet there.

But if we go to WYW we can all listen to that crazy chick ***** about how she doesn't want to go to scorpio's because she isn't old enough to drink, even though they don't even ID at the door that early and the place is empty.

But thats cool you guys are awesome at planning **** out. Just like the kid that decided it would be a good idea to plan a WYW meet the same exact night of the NED meet that has already been posted for 3 weeks.

I came on this site thinking I could help out a few guys I know that like working on there cars. I might learn and share good Technically information but I couldn't seem to find anybody with knowledge on this site. Now I know why they aren't here. But what would I know I'm just a dumb 1.8L that doesn't know how to whore post and eat wings.

To the true few who do like working on there cars I'm sure you know this isn't directed at you and it had to be said.

Actually nate goes autoXing with us all the time, but wyw is pretty damn good. Also, this forum is more of closer friends than nasioc and other large enthusiast commuunity. The post whore thread basically, off topic just 1 thread.

Also, nate works on his car alot! And the post he made was possibly sarcastic, i would rather auto X than 1/4 mile personally, only because its boring especially since i KNOW my car is not fast. Nate has a swap coming along, hes doing it himself.

Lastly, weekly meets are always on Friday Night. THis trend started last year, along time before we wanted to go to NED on Friday.

Sorry for blabbering on but, i had to come to his defence because he gave me the bolts for my calipers and i felt he deserved some credit.

Nick S. you kind of need to calm down a little. There are plenty of people on here who know a lot about Subarus and cars in general (Murphy, Bu11Dog, and Nate are all pretty dam smart when it comes to Subarus and vehicles).

This forum does have a lot of off-topic posts that have nothing to do with cars. But the point of this forum isn't suppose to be a 100% Subaru related forum. This forum is more for the person who drives a subaru, enjoys owning it, and wants to chat with like minded people. I for one could care less about how fast my car goes, in fact it could be stock and I'd still like it. Most of my mods are in the looks area, and only a couple are performance related. Does that mean I shouldn't be on a car forum? Absolutely not.

It's pretty simple, if you don't like the way this forum is run or the people who post in it, then move on to one that suits your lifestyle.

I thought only one had turned up. But three of the cars were farking ****boxes. I'd be surprised if any had an alarm or the doors locked. There was one nicer jeep stolen.

You'll generally find that this place is a great place for hanging out. We are not aiming to take over Nasioc in any ways whatsoever. Nasioc is and always will be the best place for technical information about Subarus on the net. What we do here is mainly BS back an forward. We discuss things about what we want to do to our cars, and look for advice/help from the members.

This site was created to get away from some of the BS in NESIC. We're a pretty active group and our threads were cluttering things up. They didn't like that so we got our own place. We've been having Weekly meets for over a year now. I've spent a good 75% of my Fridays hanging out with these guys, in addition to random Games, cruises, etc.

I don't drag race, and watching them doesn't leave much appeal to me. I do like wings. I do like Beer. and WYW has both of those in Abundance.

In short, chill out.

Now that I've actually read your post more..... WOW!

What's your beef with Durham? Yea it's a college town, but it's pretty chill. WYW is probably the most successful place we've had meets. We've never had too much of a problem getting seated, and they certainly will let more then 7 people sit together. You just need to start pulling tables together. We've probably had what? 15 people at WYW before? And if the Weather is nice and the Deck is open it's amazing. and we don't give much of a rat's ass about what anyone else is doing there. Because when we're at the meets we're usually talking about what we did to our cars, what we want to do, what we've seen, Funny threads, and life.

I find it Hilarious that you come to the Forums and in less then 12 Days you've figured us all out. Yup we never do anything to our cars. There's only Nate who's at Stage 2, Brembos, and last I knew his car was on jack stands because of the suspension work he's doing. Did you hear about the STi block and Transmission that he's got waiting to put in? If you had spent time looking around you might have noticed that. Or the threads about Auto-X.

As for me, I'm interested in doing things to my car, but personally I've dropped over 4k into new computers since I've graduated college. At this point I'd rather do that then work on my car. But I have gotten front and rear sways + end links, and bought new Winter and Summer tires, and a new set of Rims. I'm looking to Add some new springs, some Gauges, and possibly going to Stage 2 by the end of the summer, but I've got other **** in life I need to get in line, like 8k in CC debt, Student Loans and all that fun stuff. I'm not just going to drop 5k into the car. So far every time I've spent money on the car, I tell my sister, then she tells my Mom, and then I get to hear about how I'm overspending. It sucks. And I'm trying to go in on some investment property with her, so I can't just ignore her.

As for not remembering about the NED meet. It was supposed to be last week, and there was still a thread created about our Dinner Meet. There was also no mention of food, and as you can imagine since I'm not interested in Drag racing, I don't pay much attention to that thread.

As for all your claims about status, no one here really gives a rats ass. If you come in from Day one, respect the members, and constructively contribute then it doesn't matter if you're a 1.8L or a 3.6L, Besides the fact that most of us have Custom Titles so we don't even know what our "engine size" is. The best purpose of those numbers is for new people to get an indication of how long someone has been around. No one here is a compulsive post whorer, so in general the higher the number the higher the level of experience in the community.


So, come on out to the meet tonight, To show theres no hard feelings I'll buy you some wings and beer (if you're of age) and you can get an idea of what we're all about.
