Oh no captian I think we found a leak

hope you all like the title thought I would use somthing to grab ppls attention. So the stroy goes got myself a leak and its in a place im not very happy about, the tranny. I put some fuild in it and in about 10-20 mins its all over my driveway. So I got a bad seal somewhere, I know its not a crack or anything like that and it leaks from the drivers side anyone have any problems like this or have a general idea of where it could be coming from?


and if any of you would like to take a look at it for me I would be more then happy to let you ;)

I would have to say it a bolt that could have backed out, snapped under transmission flex or a bad seal like you said. I dont think there is anything else there that would leak.

crawl under the car and clean it up all nice. then put more fluid in and you should see were its coming from.

its a 5 speed. tranny was recently put on by me and my dad. Ill give that a try seeing if all the bolts are tight but if it is a seal how would I fix that if i can find it?

take it apart and replace the seal, fill it up and see if it leaks.

unless you cut it to make it plug the hole, but then you might risk another leak

this would be a good reason to dump the job they made you get to pay for this tranny...:rofl: hope this is going to be an easy one to spot after you get it all cleaned up. i hate tranny leaks...good luck!

haha yeah made me get a job to be able to drive my car but i cant even drive it because of the leak

ya man you should have a job anyways. you should be psyched to use your money from work to ante up your car.
