Legally,

You give up the majority of your rights when you attend a private or public highschool.

The only thing she could have done that was illegal is use the students phone without permission.

That does not seem quite right. I dont think selling drugs is a good thing or anything but that principle took a phone and then used it. Its not free to send txt massages. I would be pissed if someone took my phone and did that.

That is kind of what I am getting at. Taking the phone for the student using it, thats fine. But searching for calls from other students during school time, reading/replying to texts, that seems like privacy infringements. She's not George Dubya...

He wasnt selling drugs, the students phone that was taking was offered them. The principal said yes, not the student. Thats the major issue. What if the kid didnt even have any money?!

I hope something happens to her, she needs to be reprimanded or fired.
