Car: 2009 WRX
Dyno: Dyno Dynamics (TCF 1.0 based on weather station)
Fuel: 93 octane
Temp: 101 degrees
Modifications:
-SPT Catback
-Forge BPV
-Stock TMIC
Tune:
11.1 AFR
16.8psi peak with taper to 14psi
Substantial AVCS tuning
This was a treat to tune. A minimalistic parts car with a dyno tune from a competitor's mustang dyno facility. The car baselined at 262whp on it's highest run, which is exactly what it left with at from the other facility - the seperate dyno's do read pretty close. This competitor's tune was knock free and ran 18psi peak with a clean smooth 11.5 AFR. However, on the stock file, the car actually made more top end then the "pro-tuned" dyno file. As demonstrated below with the pink line. Also notice the 110wtq gain over the stock file.
We started from scratch and retuned the car from a stock file. While the car was strapped down the same as the baseline with the same ambient air temps.
We were able to achieve large horsepower gains with LESS boost and a far richer AFR. This shows how important proper cam angle and ignition advance is on the 09+ WRX especially.

VS. STOCK VS. Competitor VS. BrenTune (ignore where it says evox we saved in wrong customer folder for the pink baseline by accident)
