is that the "v-mount" the thread is titled for?

Intercooler on top, and radiator angled on the bottom.... mmm

Yes, but not a true V as that would have the intercooler angled opposite the radiator. I'm still calling it V-mount though.:D

Confuscious say.... Backwards "V" is still a "V"

So sick! Throttle response must be great with such short plumbing.

I've seen this car in person, the setup is very well executed.

Yet another example of the fine craftsmanship and tuning to come from Kinetic!

Hey All, thanks for the good words!

I wanted to do something different but for a legitimate performance gain. This setup worked out really well. It's amazing how much cooler the intake temps are with the phenolic spacers, coolant line removed from the throttle body, and a larger high quality intercooler. With the same boost I was running on a turbo xs top mount we saw a 50 hp increase just with increased timing.

With the .82 exhaust housing this turbo isn't in it's efficiency zone. I want to crank it up but I drive this car daily and it needs to hold together. The tune is very conservative but whatever 380 can scare the fecal matter out you nontheless.

Thanks again,

Mike

Wow, looks so good. Would you say it's TOO responsive, and does that make it difficult to drive?

This cruises real nice. Low RPMs are plenty tamable and seems fine to me for DDing. That bog turbo spools up real quick but only when you want it to. I think it's the perfect size for the job, but I'll let Mike chime in on it more himself.
