Autospeed 3" Stainless Steel Catted Downpipe
Why is it so much cheaper than all the others? at $350 for a stainless DP with a high flow cat....
Maybe autospeed price is right on, and everyone else is waayyy too expensive. I mean $700 for $30 worth of metal?!
Any insight on the Legacy GT version (MT)

I am not sure, ask a leggy buff, but my .02 is that its not a huge brand. Is it an Ebay price?

I had that exact DP on my wagon.
It's a bellmouth and mounts quite easy :)
The bad part is that it has a bit of a buldge where the Cat is.
I let a lady friend drive the wagon and she went a little too fast over a speed bump and tore a nice hole in the cat
If you don't plan on going lower then H-techs then you should be alright.
Why catted? I had both and found very little difference between the two other then price.
Perrin makes a pretty sweet catless.

Why catted? I was worried about the smell and passing NH inspection... does it really not make that big of a difference ?
And I have the cobb lowered springs (not installed yet) Do you think that'll be fine?

Here's the deal with the smell...
You're gonna get it either way... 70% of the time when someone complains about the smell in the cabin it is caused at start up when the pipe and seal is cold. If the seal is not perfect between the DP and turbo you're gonna get the smell on start up.
As far as the smell on the outside of the car.... it's a bit powerful with the catless.
Obviously you're are gonna get better flow with catless. But for $350 I would go witht the autospeed catted. :)
The key is to buy the correct gaskets (not the subaru ones) for the DP. COBB makes a good set and I would also look into what Autospeed recommends.

how bad is bad from the outside with a catted? I really want to stay classy and a sleeper .: i don't wanna smell like a racecar.
