A guy from work is running his Elantra at the dragway tonight for ****s and giggles, but he doesn't want to be the only one there with a slow-ass car. I told him I'd run. I've never made a pass before. I know the basics, track etiquette, etc. Any tips or trick? God knows the 4EAT 2.5i could use all the help it can get.

Press brake, press gas, build to 4000RPM

Release brake on green and mash gas.

If it's your first time running ever... just watch a few rounds to get a feel of how to "courtesy stage" so you aren't the douche bag that drives through the beams, backs up, drives forward, yada yada.

Hahaha, don't worry about that. I've been frequenting the dragway every Friday for about 2 years now. I'm wise to the procedures involved. I'm just new to actually running down the track.

Unfortunately it rained. Maybe next week.
