SOLD
I've owned this car for over 6 years. It's a 94 3000GT VR4 that I picked up from Pennington NJ a long time ago. It has a clean title, no accidents, and rust free. Engine is strong, tranny shifts great. I have put a lot of blood sweat and tears into this car. The chassis has 130k miles on it. The original engine lasted 123k miles on it before I blew a land ring on a piston (had bigger turbos than stock on it at the time). After parting out all of my mods, the car sat for a year covered at my parents house before I brought it back to life.
It has a 97 vr4 engine in it right now that had 60k miles on it when I bought it. The car now has 138k miles on it, so the engine has 78k. I did the 60k tuneup before putting the engine in. I drove this car as my DD last fall. I even drove it down to Florida and back in a weekend.
The good:
------------
Full 99 conversion except for the sale panels, 99 headlights, OEM 99 Wing, oem 99 bumper, even has the undersplash shiled and all of the oem mounting bumper brackets
New charcoal leather 6k miles ago. No bolster wear at all. I recovered them myself. It's actually the 4th set I've done
Door panels aren't bubbled, dash vents aren't cracked
Car has new paint (did it myself). Stripped down to metal, epoxy primer, primer, panama pearl, 2 heavy coats of clear, wetsand, buff. Everything was off the car while being painted (even doors).
brand new door to window seals
poly motor mounts
ACT 460 ft/lbs clutch/resurfaced flywheel
tranny shifts great, no grinds
oem replica chrome rims from wheels n caps with new tires 6k miles ago
d/s rotors, calipers painted black
intrax springs
car passes inspection just fine, had a recent alignment after putting the new wheels on. I replaced the tie rod ends too.
The "bad"
-----------
stock speakers suck
I put the oem charcoal headliner in it, but haven't sourced the visors yet.
oem spoiler has 2 hairline cracks on the basehttp://www.3si.org/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif
The car still has the A/C but it's not hooked up. The electrical connector on the 97 a/c compressor is different than the 94 wiring harness so I cannot plug it in. I am pretty certain I have the correct A/C compressor above my garage, just needs to be put in. (The only other difference between the 97 and 94 vr4 is the intake manifold. The 97 has an extra sensor on it that you wouldn't use. I swapped the 94 manifold on)
And finally the Throw Out Bearing started making a noise about month ago. I haven't been driving it much since then but it does run and drive with no problems right now. I used the ACT throw out bearing and late research shows me that I should have used an oem one. It's a $55 oem part but the tranny needs to be dropped. With 4 other projects in the garage right now this is the last thing on my mind. If the buyer is serious about buying the car but needs this fixed, I'll do it for an extra $400.
That about sums it up. I'll edit this if I can think of anything else. I'm looking for $7500 obo. Willing to trade for/towards a dark blue audi S4. If it doesn't sell within the next month I'm going to fix the TOB and drive it through winter.
