Owned my legacy since December of '06 and just had my headgaskets done in January at 115k. Here are some pics, most of which are fairly old, but one of these days I'm gonna get it cleaned up good for some pictures. Just lowered on H&R springs + KYB GR-2 struts and I'm blown away, but then again I've never owned a car with any upgraded suspension whatsoever.

Gave her a thorough cleaning today inside and out. Also repainted the fuel door + clearcoated it (But someone backed into it so there's still a giant dent...lol)

So my engine is destroying itself..I haven't driven my car in a week or two since my license was suspended (For going 80mph on route 89 grrr...). Anyways, I started the engine this morning to move it, it turned over, but struggled big time to start. When it started, it grunted, almost rattled to life. The engine seems to idle fine, but when I give it a little bit of gas, there's some nasty rod knock.. On top of that, I checked under the car and found this:

So looks like I've got some fun repairs ahead of me. Aside from that, I had some time to repaint a few things:

Went dark bronze with the wheels:

just curious about your stock struts and springs i want to drop my outback (to stock gt height for now anyways) would you be willing to part ways with them and at what expense?, also does anyone know if 215-45-18s would fit on a stock height GT cuz thats what i want to get (cheap from a friend)

I would definitely be willing to part with them, however some of the original struts are blown. The springs are fine, however they will sag the rear end of your Outback I'm pretty sure because of the extra weight.

Nice looking car....Can I ask how much it was to replace you hg? I am up there in the miles with mine and have yet to replace it so I would guess that at some point it would need to be done. Thanks

I'm pretty sure it was in the 1.5k-2k range. I had Range in Somersworth do it, but I also had them do a couple of other things at the same time so I can't remember the exact figure for the headgasket job.

I think range did this car for $1300 and just a bit more to do some additional stuff while in there (don't remember what they did)

Yeah that sounds about right. Oh, and by the way subiekidd, I am fairly certain you will have very bad rubbing with 215-45-18s. Biggest I've heard of running on a BG is 215-40-18 and I'm pretty sure it required some pretty heavy modification to make it fit. Could be wrong though, I'm no expert on wheels.
