So the next mod I was thinking about was the front strut brace. Anyone with a 2011 done this yet? What brand did you chose and how well does it work? I was thinking about going with perrin. Any input is helpful :P

I believe I heard it doesn't do much of anything. More of a thing to look at. I don't know if you have sway bars yet but I would do those first if you haven't.

just yesterday I was listening to jay leno describe it as a monte carlo bar. Used on older chassis..

seems the front air dam from 1960's SCCA racing and then the tower bar was mimicked on japanese little unibody tin cans for not much reason.

given the ej series has a tucked tower riding a firewall...not even my 1987 with towers six inches out on a world of their own has ever come close to needing it...and I am a thrasher.

good for looks I guess.
I thought the top mount cooler finally revealed that it was silly (finally) to even need one..still available for looks more than anything.

Don't waste your monies. Spend it on other useul items, possibly sways or something like that.

They at a help on older chassis once you've already done everything else. Especially on current models the unibody is so much better designed and secured that it doesn't need it. Get a rear sway and endlinks all around then go from there.

What everyone said. Won't do anything noticeable until everything else is maxed out. Look at how close the strut towers are to the firewall, that's why. Get sways if you don't have 'em.

If you do want it for dress up, just get the $80 ebay special.

They also do little on any of the newer 02+ because they all have the lower subframe anyway from the factory. So the front end is all tied in well without the need for a strut bar.

Don't do a fsb, get some sways and endlinks, Whiteline seems to be the best bang for the buck.

Peace.
