Install... I would suggest a prefessional.
Wiring for the motors is different.
BoostedTechnology
05-15-2008, 02:10 PM
Hey guys, as far as getting these i can get more this whole setup cost me around 13g, but i got a few extra things that you dont see int he pics. The engine/ tranny/ brakes with all the accessories cost is depending on avalibility send me a PM with more specifics of what your looking for and i can get you some real quotes. As far as installs, yes we can help and the wiring really depends on which engine/ car combo that you get. A v7 engine to a 2002/2003 wrx is actually very simple.
Nate8409
05-15-2008, 02:44 PM
sooo You have the JDM ecu too and all the dccd wiring?
BoostedTechnology
05-15-2008, 02:45 PM
Yes i have the JDM ecu and the v7 transmission we have did not come with DCCD only select v7 and the v8 transmissions have the DCCD.
Nate8409
05-15-2008, 03:04 PM
Sweet sounds like a good deal then. I would love to have the STI cluster and a real working DCCD.
BoostedTechnology
05-15-2008, 03:11 PM
I also got the v8 cluster with mine, i can get v7 or v8 the differences are the v8 has the sweeping red gauges like the USDM sti and the v7 looks similar to the normal WRX cluster. I can also try and find a DCCD transmission, along with a v8 longblock if you wanted one of those.
Nate8409
05-15-2008, 03:12 PM
I have a DCCD transmission right now.
out of USDM 04 STI.
Do you have hook ups for JDM parts? Like the carbon baulk rings and shift forks?
BoostedTechnology
05-15-2008, 03:21 PM
I can get quite a few JDM OEM parts, i have a couple different importers im working with, id have to give them a call to see if they have some of those items in stock.
Nate8409
05-15-2008, 06:24 PM
You get the same stuff as Japan parts?
I want to pick up the transmission plastic under cover but they are mad expensive on their site.
BoostedTechnology
05-16-2008, 08:33 AM
really depends on avalibility, the guys i use only goto japan to pick up stuff every so often so when they come back they have a larger inventory than before they go back. If i have a order for something when they go there I can probably get it for you no problem. Right now they have another whole v7 sti that they disassembled and have all the parts from that like drivetrain, interior , and exterior bits. Give me a pm if theres something specific youd like and ill go on the hunt for ya :)

The black interior pieces are great. I have always wanted to do that but what paid will stick to the plastic?
What did you do with the roof to color it? Some kind of stain?
2mprzya
05-28-2008, 08:57 AM
dupli-color has a paint for plastic, and they also make a fabric dye. I will be doing this soon, although i'm thinking of wrapping the headliner in suede.

I used 800 grit and 2000 grit sand paper for the pillars with krylon fusion black from walmart. The headliner i used the duplicolor fabric and vynil spray and i got that at autozone but its like 7 bucks a can  and the headliner took me 3 full cans of it and im thinkin about doing another coat. Ill write up a little how too, i have pictures from the process. Get that on here later tonight for you guys.

if this had not come out so well i was going to do a suede also... you can find it at joanne fabrics i believe it is by the fox run mall.
Also seeing tho this interior came out so well, would anyone be intrested in me offering this as a service from my company? If so let me know, if not let me know too id like some feedback on that and anything else you guys might want done.

Here is a small DIY write up i promised you guys!
tools: Screw driver, 17mm or 11mm socket i forgot? and ratchet, 3-4 cans of krylon fusion spray paint, 800 grit and 2000 grit sandpaper
first the pillars...
1- Remove all parts to be cleaned and painted
- A pillars are easy snap in clips
- b pillars will require you to remove the seat belt clips and use a socket to remove the metal brackets, i believe this is a 17mm? i forget :D. Then to remove the pillar itself you will need to slide this upward towards the headliner removing it from the bottom plastic piece.
- c pillars will require the same removal of the seat belts and these afterwards just use clips to hold in like the front a pillars
http://img527.imageshack.us/img527/5603/dsc00048ww6.jpg
2. cleaning
- you will want to clean these, they dont look that dirty but you would be surprised and any dirt of oily grease junk will cause the paint to not hold very well. I used some simple soap, water, and elbow grease (take care as not to get the elbow grease on the pillars )
- sit back with a beer and watch them dry!
3. prep for paint
- I went to the local store and got me some 800 grit and 2000 grit sand paper
- First i used the 800 grit to rough up the surface, keep in mind if you sand there are partials that will be left from the sanding, these will need to be cleaned again (see step 2 note not too many beers as your product might come out looking funny )
http://img134.imageshack.us/img134/626/dsc00051gb3.jpg
4. PAINT!
- first coat is more like a primer coat than anything, this coat dosent matter, its to get something down for further coats to adhere to, any rough marks, paint globs do not matter yet.
- After the first coat let dry and get out your 2000 grit sand paper and go to town, any extra globs of paint, nasty parts that just dont look right etc. take them down with the sand paper (note keep in mind that the pillars have a stock ripply surface if you sand too much it will look flat and funny compared to the rest of the pillar)
- second coat, apply evenly using very smooth strokes afterwards revert back to sanding
- and a third coat! after this you shouldnt need to do anymore sanding unless you messed up your paint, just take your time and work with the can smoothly (note if you start the spray paint off the edge of the pillar on paper then move it to the parts things will come out looking much better, you might also try suspending the parts from the ceiling like I did using some wire, a nut and bolt.)

Headliner
tools: screw driver, 3+ cans of duplicolor fabric spray (i got this at autozone)
1. removal
- to remove the headliner you will need to take out the following:
Visors, front and middle light domes, oh **** handles, snap in clips in front and rear
-after removing all these items the only thing holding in the headliner is the rubber door molding, be careful as the headliner is cheaply made and could be damaged very very easy.
- you will need to put your 2 front seats down completely for easier removal of the headliner out the door, otherwise good luck getting it out without breaking it!
2. Prep
- not much to do here, simply make sure the headliner is clean of all foreign objects, might want to use a small hand held vacuum to remove dirt
3. Paint!
- You will want to make sure you put the coats on very evenly, getting a spray attachment can make this a bunch easier but I did mine without. I went through 3 cans of this fabric paint. Make sure you use the method of starting the paint off the liner then slowing making back and forth motions onto the headliner and all the way across or its going to come out looking funny

like i said in a previous post, i will offer this as a service if people want me to do so. wouldnt be too expensive, cost of the paint is like 25-30 bucks for the head liner, let me know if you would like this as a service I can offer and what you guys think a fair price would be, ill get some spray attachment if anyone else wants it done.

I was looking in the range of 1750 for the 2.0 i have, it would come with pretty much everything you need it has 74k on it. Mobil 1 full synthetic every 2500 miles, only seen a APv2 stage 2 map reaching 17 psi. Im sure we could work something out tho, if you wanted more items i wouldnt charge you much of anything for em or anything at all depending on what you wanted.
As for another V7 swap PM me with the items you would like, I got a complete swap but i can get just the engine or tranny or brembos if your just looking for something specific.
