Picked up my lightly used '04 STi on Friday... a car I've dreamed of for quite some time... and this (Sunday) morning went out to get some lunch. On the way home I stopped for traffic to clear to make a left hand turn and some kid barrels into my car. :(

Ouch. Looks totalled, but in the event it isn't, check out Cote's Auto Body in Exeter. Great guys.

Used Dana's Autobody in Farmington/Rochester. Haven't had too many issues with them in the past.

Well, I think it's mostly more of cosmetic body panel damage than anything. I hope. In any case, I don't think the damage will be substantial enough to total it which is why I'm looking for a good shop.
I'll check out Cote's Auto Body, thanks for the suggestions.

Also, I've heard Ben's does a decent job, though they charge up the wazoo. Maybe I'll just get the repairs cost estimate there...
Looking for places as close to Portsmouth as possible...

I have heard good things about Ben's as well. But I haven't used them personally.

Ouch, that's some pretty gnarly damage. Is the frame bent? What was the other guy driving? a truck or SUV?

I had good experience with Cotes also.

that sucks, good luck finding a shop. looking forward to some updates
Ben's did my car. I'm not sure if i told you or not when i met you. The drivers side rear door and rear quarter were replaced. They did a really good job. Just took a long time... I think I saw you on sunday too, you were pulling out onto Woodbury by applebees. I thought it looked like you, but i wasn't sure.

Ford Explorer. I saw him coming in my rear view mirror, the last thing I thought was, "boy is he coming up fast..."
I really hope the frame is okay - when I drove the car off the road after the accident, she seemed fine. But that was for all of 20 yards.

My girlfriend says thanks for her new GPS and wireless mouse that she got with the 200 bucks to best buy. She had her silver 07 matrix in there for a new door and some other work last week. You guys did a pretty good job. You just forgot to put the seat belt back on and clip on some trim. But the work looks real nice.

Maybe Portsmouth Auto Body has changed... but, and no offence to you AG... they shortcutted everything my girlfriend asked them to do and when she complained she was talked down to... along the lines of "honey, it's not a mercedes or a BMW, most owners of your car don't expect that same level of detail..."
HA... like I said, maybe it's changed. But the fact I had to go in and handle it because they treated her like crap

Sorry if you had a bad experience, there has been some changes. I am on the front counter now and I feel that we treat everyone equally. I hope the quality of work was ok. I'm not sure how they could short cut it, but if there is anything I can do to correct I will try. Thanks for the post feedback just makes a place stronger.

Not a bad idea, but I neither have a garage to work in or another car to get me around (my RS is sale pending)...

She lives! The appraiser just looked at it and he sees very little sign of any if at all structural damage! :D
I think I must have mentioned at least 10x that "this is an STi" just to make sure he didn't try to value it as a WRX.
BTW... Planning on taking it to Ben's on recommendations of several people - will post before/after pics when she's done.

I would HIGHLY recommend Scott Wright's Autobody in Exeter. He's a high-end/classic car body shop and does UNBELIEVABLE work. Give him a shot!

Glad to hear it. I've never driven an STI, and hope I can sweet talk you into a lunch run once she's back on the road.
It just gives me more time to save up for when the inevitable happens afterwards, which is that I go straight to the Subaru dealer to trade the Speed3.

It's at Ben's Autobody, they are saying minimum 3 weeks :(
But they are using all OEM Subaru parts, so I'm a happy camper.
