Doing a minor road trip next month... I got the first half of it planned out through Chicago but am trying to put things together for the second half. Does anybody know of any good sites that help you pick out random points of interest along given roads or areas? If I at least knew some things along the general direction I could alter my route for lodging/camping, etc.
Thanks.

Well, this isn't cross country. When I did that a few years back we slept in the car too.
Basically we are going to Niagra Falls, camping 2 nights, then to Chicago, hotel for 2 nights, then to South Bend for my sisters graduation....
The return from South Bend is what I am struggling with. Thinking about hitting Cedar Point and some place else along the way. We don't need to take a direct route home and I'll drive south or out of my way for something interesting.

Ahhh yes, a very good idea. I'll wow everybody with the massive amount of.......... body roll and tire squealing from the Lexus as it tries to handle moderate turns.
