I recently went here and the food was fantabulous.

not a fan of the fried pickles but the sampler is where its at.

my company just had it catered for us last friday, i got my fill of pulled pork, ribs, chiken and that fantastic corn bread.

mmmhmm *****es.

THey have a plate (it's huge) if you can finish it in a alotted time it's free.

After a good day at the gym I might be able to kill it :)

dude that plate is way to large. the screamer or whatever its called.

its like a solid 10 lbs of food.

i saw a guy attempt it who can eat a ton, and he made it about 3/4 of the way and then had a stomach ache.

I could also be up for this. I haven't been to Muddy River is some time and would enjoy it.

the "squeeler" isn't free anymore if you finish it within 1 hour. Now they just give you a $25 gift card for future use. They changed ownership last year, or the year before and did away with some things, that being one of them. They also had a half priced dinner night on Tuseday with college ID, but, alas, that is gone too.

yes, they changed owners.. that is why there are two muddy rivers in the area :)

the one in portsmouth is ok, but the other one is far superior imo.
Also..it has a parking lot right there :)

And it is run by the original owner of the portsmouth one, or at least that is my understanding

Sams club, just before they close. half Full Rack of Ribs. Just get there right before they close, they dont keep heated up food overnight so everything must go. and those ribs taste excellent for the pice btw if you were to buy them.
