I'm looking for a good daily driving stage 1 map to flash my car with. My car is pretty much stock except for my cat-back and it won't be until fall/winter before I pick myself up a downpipe for stage 2. Looking for something that will be good for daily driving.
Been looking at the XPT Tuning maps, but I'm not really sure what to go for. Any help is appreciated.

I downloaded Gabedudes stage 1 map from here:
http://www.xpttuning.com/osecuroms/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=380
It has both 91 and 93 octane maps. Now I just need to flash.
Any other good ideas?

do you have an AP or other?

its a open ecu flash.
you can pick up a cheap catless dp and it will be a huge diffrence. It would be worth it to before the summer.

Other, doing openecu. Can't justify an AP when I won't be changing maps that often. Maybe if I was a NED person, but I'm not.

I'm worried that a catless dp will be much too loud coupled with my cat-back.

The cb I have now isn't that loud. I can't even hear it when I have the radio at normal levels inside the cabin.

The only map that I've been able to find is Gabedudes stage 1 map that you've already posted...
I'll keep looking.

An off the shelf stage one map can only get you so close to running well, because every car is different, even same model and years. It's a good place to start, but if you data log you will find spots that need adjustment just for your car. That's why the cobb maps have so much head room because what works for on car, wont work for another, even if they are the same year and model. If you want some help tuning, I wouldn't mind spending a few hours data logging and adjusting for you. Once you see it, it's easy to pick up and do your self.

Ya, that's the same one I mentioned a couple posts back. Seems to be the only one out there which is fine with me.

I think the plan is wait to see if I pick up a downpipe, then go stage 2. I'd love for you to come give me a hand with getting it done right. I'd like a good stage 2 daily driving map since I drive a lot.

That idea was spoken today between myself and a couple others. We'll figure something out this summer. I know some others are interested in learning too.

Looks like I found what I was looking for. Sometime this week I'll be getting a Helix Catted Downpipe with just under 10k miles on it for $190. Saw pictures and it's in good condition minus the typical rust around it, but I can attempt to clean some of it up.
So, I'll need to do an install day to get her on, and in the same day flash to stage 2. Hopefully Kevin can help with the flashing and he can show us some data-logging/tuning.
I'll be needing a good daily drive stage 2 flash. Something that will keep my fuel economy at least where it is now (22 city/25 highway) if not better. Plus add some "powah".

hi flow cat?
my protuned tdc map that put down 230 at the wheel gets me 22 mpg, and i just got 25 mpg, this is typical city and highway driving, so im happy with it.

Yea, it's the Helix Catted Downpipe. If I get those numbers with those mpg's then I'll be happy.

I have a helix catted dp and with my blow through set up I've been averaging 25-26mpg! Your closed loop tuning will improve your daily mpg by at least 1 or 2 mpg. I've go through 2 tanks and one got 25 and the other got 26. Not bad for a 16g fmic set up.:D

This is promising news. Since I don't have any free weekends this month due to work, perhaps we can work on this for a weekend in July. Not sure how long it takes to put a dp in a '07 or how long we would need for flashing and tuning however.

Don't know if I am too late to post, but I think I told you to not get helix catted down pipe. That is exactly what I have and it is rubbing against cross member as it breaks in. It's unpleasant sense when it rubs against crossmember, took a while to figure it out too. My solution was not 100% save. I trimmed cross member, removing roughly 0.5cm by 2cm piece, that solved it. I know supposedly it's extremely dangerous to do that to your crossmember, maybe. I read a lot before I dared have my friend do it. But when I went right down and seeing that piece removed I am convinced I didn't do any bad to integrity of it.
Anyway, just if you didn't order, think twice about it.

Most of the time doing a dp is getting to it. I take mine on and off once in a while and it takes me 20min to remove and 30 to install with a friend under the car. But I don't have a tmic in the way so it's a little more to remove that. just remeber to get a tube of anti seize for the turbo studs and o2 sensor. I also had to double up the cat back to dp gaskets to keep them from leaking because of the flat style flange.

Hmmm, I've talked to a couple other people with the Helix Catted DP on '07's that didn't mention that, I'll look into it.

Well I did a quick NASIOC search and came up with this thread:
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1073191&page=3
From the sound of it, only about 10% of the dp's do this and really it's not the dp but rather the subaru install of the turbo back items. Sounds the best way to install is to loosen everything leading from the turbo and put it all together at once which will lead to a clean and steady install.
May take more time, but worth the effort if that's the case.
